The truth can be sharp and pointy.

Priestess Trixi is ready to reveal her god’s truth to the world, whether they like it or not. As she prepares to see her vision made real, only one thing stands in her way. A halfling that won’t die summons an ancient weapon, determined to kill the priestess.

Friends betray them. Their pasts are hunting them. Hillbillies are trying to date them. But when Leanna and Trixi need each other the most, can they come together and see the great pilgrimage through to the Magic City?

The silly journey through Newland continues with the least likely group of heroes to ever save the world!

The Master of Kung Fu and Friendship was born in the smog-wastes of New Jersey, then journeyed to a mountain in Asia. There, he learned of the power of friendship, and knowing is half the battle. The other half is Kung Fu.

He now resides in a dojo in North Carolina, where he has sired a future champion with his Mistress of Friendship. He writes of fantasy and humor, strong women and dragons.

He is the author of The Wicked Instruments series and The Dragon's Dream Saga. His biggest influences are the greats in humor - Douglas Adams, Kurt Vonnegut, and Chuck Palahniuk.

Congratulations to D.C. Fergerson for this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such an interesting and exciting author who not only writes intelligently but also provides top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book.

The second book is even better than the first book in the series. I have really gotten attached to Trixie, so going into book 3 is going to be with mixed feelings. I love the writing, it's got a great flow, and the pace is just right. How did I not know about this series?

Not Kindle Unlimited but the next one is, this one seems to be permafree or free for x amount of time. Didn't actually want to give it a 5 but not as low as a 4 more like a 4 1/2 but that isn't available. Had a few issues, could have been a little tighter writing overall, but again there isn't an in between. It's, sort of, like a D&D type story, a LitRPG in a way, not sure of the genre really. This one was the start of something really weird, to say the least. Charms and curses seem to be the rule not the exception. Then it goes in to promises, broken promises, sorta kinda both, and still not quite LitRPG but some type of fantasy sub-genre mix. This one was a 4 1/2 again, but more on the 4 side; there were even more places where just got lost with what was going on and with how or by who.

The Singer and the Charlatan (The Wicked Instruments Book 1)
The Princess and the Holy Juggernaut (The Wicked Instruments Book 2)
    Goblins, Parents, and Other Monsters (The Wicked Instruments Book 3) {due out soonish}

My favorite of this series! Love the imaginative world DC created!

Can Trixi defeat or avoid the undying halfling Weevil?
Can Trixi actually lead thousands of devout believers to the fabled Magic City?
What will those believers do if they find out she's scammed them?
Can Sante keep his vows as a paladin?
Will Tear ever learn what happened to his parents?
Will Leanna learn who she is?
Will Jonathan ever have a chance with Leanna?
What about the wealthy noble who keeps courting her?
And exactly what is a Holy Juggernaut?

Most Importantly can you stand puns? Or is a pun the base of all humor or the lowest form of humor?

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and I admit to enjoying it.
