About the author

Sage's books are of the feel-good variety and are designed to be engaging, fun, easy reads where the drama is low and the romance is real.
She is a not-too-serious hiker, a voracious reader, a lover of games (board, not video), and an enjoyer of a good water-based activity on a hot day. Although her beloved dog only agrees with the first two activities.
Sage lives in Portland, Oregon.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2023This is my second book by the author and I enjoyed it. Moved right on to Diving In and if you happen to see this and haven't read them yet I would suggest reading this one before Diving In as there's a cameo in Diving In.
I didn't really read the reviews because the first one I saw said this was almost slice of life and I knew the reviews would spoil it for me. I definitely agree with the slice of life vibe.
I really liked the build up between the characters and it definitely kept me entertained engaged.
PS I would love a book on the other character.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2023This is a long, slow burn, low angst romance. To some degree, it feels a bit like a slice of life, as Greta gets a dog, makes some new friends, and her relationships develops. The pacing is slow in some places, but that is just an aspect of the story, and I further I got through the story, the more it drew me in and engrossed me.
Greta's relationship with her LI is sweet and adorable, and the two of them really do have something special. It's great seeing it grow, and seeing the characters take on some new challenges as well.
Overall an enjoyable romance and it was worth the read.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2022This is a very sweet slow burn love story. Greta has a huge crush on her Straight friend Livy. Once she adopts her puppy Chloe she decides to grow her circle of friends and starts going to the dog park. We follow her through briefly dating someone and growing closer to Livy . A great story about friendship and family.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2022I do like this writer's works but just did not get into this one. Much too bland and essentially no angst. Jumped from topic to topic - Night Flyers, TV, dogs, and families. All romantic scenes were fade to black. Not enough umph in this book to help me recommend it.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2022A very nice book, not enough to get excited about but delightful reading of finding what and who you want. Definitely not a Uhaul kind of story but an entertaining one of someone with trouble of meeting people and not having withdrawal attacks. Having someone beside you that you trust to make a meet and greet more manageable
- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2022This delightful book kept me focused right to the last paragraph. If you enjoy a pleasant escape this one is for you. I would love to meet these characters and visit their city. Sage Donnell is a gifted story teller. I look forward to reading more of her work.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2022I thought this book was great. I liked how they started out as just friends even tho Greta had a crush on Livy. I thought it was great how their friendship grew with everything they did together.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2021What a cute storyline. I enjoyed it very much. I loved the characters and of course the puppies. Shane was adorable. Well worth the time to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pacing, funny and believable
This is my first book by Sage Donnell and I'm really impressed with it, despite the numerous spelling and grammatical errors, I felt the story rowed well. The character development was good. The humour was appropriate and felt natural. I'll definitely read another of this author's books - hopefully without the typos

4.0 out of 5 stars four legged Cupid
Our two main characters get to know each other very well before love rears it’s head. Is love worth risking a great friendship for?
The story revolves around a friendship, cute dogs, binging on tv series and new athletic pursuits.
