Rocking Between The Sheets: Razor's Edge Prequel Kindle Edition

4.1 out of 5 stars 101 ratings

My name is Cayson James Razor, I’m the front man for Razors Edge. My friends call me CJ but the groupies call me the pleasure God.

I’m living my dream, tens of thousands of fans scream my name and fresh pussy every night with no attachments. Life couldn’t get any better as far as I was concerned. That was until my manager came to me, calling in the favor I owed him.

Now my life is changing in ways I wasn’t ready for. God help me but Kayla Marshall is going to be the death of my rock God image.

There is a lot that happens in this prequel that’s i feel is going to be important to the series! But romance writer meets playboy rocker to do some “research” haha. Honestly it’s a pretty good book to the series that is now on my list of things i feel I must read.

It's a very good story, but has some consistency errors. It's quite obvious that the author started off with zeal and love for the story, only to end up rushing through the end. The drummer's name is Rocky, yet at the end he was suddenly named Roger. Then Cayson said they stole kisses during their bed talk, but it was never mentioned. It would have been great if it was put in during that part, instead of being stated as an afterthought.

Note to the author: Come on, don't steal from your readers. Focus a little more on the editing process to give us an even more powerful story.

But regardless of my 4 stars, I'm definitely buying the next chapter of this story. Not much of a fan at the way the story drops off at the end, but I get it. You want the reader to keep reading.

I'll keep reading regardless. It's a specific niche with no erotic smut as I'm used to reading on Kindle, and it's tastefully done. The details aren't overly extraneous and you have to fill in a lot of the gaps yourself, but at least the author doesn't take up pages and pages just to paint a picture for a 3-page quickie.

I love the story. I just think the writing could have used a little more work to earn that 5th star from me.

I chose this book because of the summary. I was really enjoying it but unless I didn't get the full book the ending sucks! It seems to me that this would be the middle of the book not the end.

As a prequel it makes you feel for Kayla in a world different from what she knew and very let down on the way the singers are with the girls. It's a let down to me to know this is what this industry has done and encouraged. Can't wait to read what's next.

Rocking Between The Sheets is a must-read prequel. Cayson and Kayla’s story is an emotional rollercoaster ride from start to finish. Cayson was tempted by Kayla yet it was such a push/pull relationship which made for a steamy, sizzling dirty hot read! This is a short and fast read yet I loved every moment of Cayson and Kayla’s journey. This is a great introduction to the Razor’s Edge series.

    My Rating: 4.6 stars *****

This is the prequel to a new series about the rock band Razors Edge and it is a great start to a new series. This is a very quick read and the author does an awesome job setting up the series. I was chomping at the bit to read the next book. Thank goodness it out!

If you love rock star romance like I do, then I highly recommend you read this prequel before you begin the rock experience that is Razors Edge.

Angsty and addictive, Rocking Between The Sheets is a must-read prequel. I am now in dire need of starting Sheet Music!

Cayson and Kayla’s story had quite the bumpy start. Cayson tried keeping her at arm’s length to avoid facing reality—the attraction between them. He was straight-up rude to her at times! My heart ached for the poor girl. Let’s just say, I would’ve probably left or cried myself to sleep a few times.

But as always, things don’t go as planned...
    Cue the fireworks.

To say I am invested in Kayla and Cayson’s journey is an understatement. Off to start Sheet Music!

So that was a HUGE tease to kick off the series!
Bad boy rocker and lead man for the band Razor's Edge, Carson aka CJ is more to him than meets the eye. He is pretty closed off but somehow Kayla gets under his skin.
Kayla is a writer following the boys around to dig up inspiration for a new book.
These two have a few choice words for each other at the beginning that build the tension.
This leaves you wanting to know what will happen next...

Love a rockstar read and this prequel started off with promise. Enjoyed CJ as a character, though perhaps not his thoughts on romance novels for women. Inconsistencies in plot with repetition were distracting.
