Racing into Love: A Gay Instalove Romance (Cut to the Feeling Book 1) Kindle Edition
Falling for him is a risk. I just have to be willing to take it. My relationship rut ends when pro racer Derrek Luna speeds into my cozy bookstore and crashes the end of a disastrous date.
He's way too risky to fall for, but I can't ignore the sudden sparks between us. It doesn't take long before we're head over heels for each other, and we'll need that love to cross the finish line.
Lap 1: Derrek wants to settle down and stop racing. The woman who runs his life on the track refuses to lose her star without a fight.
Lap 2: The closer I get to Derrek, the angrier my ex-turned-best-friend gets. Is he...jealous?
Lap 3: Someone broke into my bookstore. I'm starting to wonder if Derrek's exes ghosted, or if someone convinced them to disappear. But I'm tired of playing it safe, even if being with Derrek is risky for more than just my heart.
Racing into Love is a low-angst contemporary M/M instalove romance. Opposites attract in swoony, steamy ways before a guaranteed HEA. It is suggested this series be read in order. Content warnings include: on-page panic attacks.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2020This was my first Noah Steele book. Won’t be my last. I was hooked on the story from the get go. Characters you just love and want to get to know better. Noah writes brilliantly, bringing wit and such human emotion into his books, it draws you in and never lets go. I really loved getting to know Derek and Aiden. Through think and thin they made it always together side by side. 5 Stars!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2019Inspired with an author takeover by Noah Steele, I picked up a copy of his debut novel Racing Into Love. What I discovered is a new author to follow! This instalove story, with its amusing banter and enormous heart, sucked me in – leaving me with two new fantasy (boy)friends to hold onto.
Our man Aiden Reed runs an inherited bookstore that he loves but at the same time feels he needs more from. An accident at a young age has left Aiden with a panic inducing fear of cars. Aiden has a huge heart but needs a little confidence boost when it comes to his personal encounters.
Then we have Derrek Luna, a race car driver with a cocky attitude. Although at the height of his career, his love life continually crashes and burns when he is ghosted by every man that ignites a spark. Why is that? Well, for Derrek fame and fortune come with the price of outside forces taking control of his everyday life for selfish gain.
First impressions make or break any relationship and for these guys their love story appears doomed from the start. But wait, there is an annoying flame – that lucky for them, and us – is ignited. Aiden and Derrek take us on one intense ride (pun intended) as they navigate the awkwardness and beauty of finding their path to happiness.
Racing Into Love is super sweet and sexy, but at the same time manipulating and controlling. As Aiden and Derrek’s lives intertwine we learn more and more about these individuals and discover two souls destined for one another. Each overcome their internal battles and support the other, not just in their words, but actions. As their connection strengthens it builds a strong foundation for them to stand on.
When the plot twist appears it is both a shock and transparent. But the heart wrenching realization behind it is real and enraged this reader – in a compassionate way. How can anyone be so cruel for self-gain? Okay, I live in the real world and this “stuff” happens all the time. However, this is one point in their journey where these men absolutely melt your heart.
I don’t usually equate the characters I read with celebrities, but in this case it was an easy jump. With Aiden I see Benjamin McKenzie and with Derrek I envision Adam Levine. These may not be perfect matches but I think you will agree there are some striking similarities.
Noah Steele has created a captivating start to his standalone Cut to the Feeling series with Racing Into Love. I can imagine he will only become stronger with each installment he pens. I wait patiently (that’s a lie) for Oliver’s story in Fighting For Love, expected to release in April of 2019.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2019This was a fun, straightforward book. Some of the plot developments were a bit too easy, and other bits and pieces jumped around a bit. But it was enjoyable, and I'll be reading the sequel.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2019I loved this book. I loved getting to know Aiden and Derrek, and I can't wait to read more of Noah Steele!
As a debut author, this book delivers on its promise of a sweet, insta-love romance with two men that are looking for something to last. This would be the perfect summer beach read or to escape for an afternoon with some tea!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2020Racing into Love is a very enjoyable, instant love romance. Aiden runs a bookstore. During a date that is not going well, he meets Derrek, who is not like the guys he usually dates, but Aiden decides to give it a chance. While Aiden and Derrek grow closer, they work through a traumatic incident in Aiden's past, and Aiden's friendship, with his best friend, Oliver, going through changes. Racing into Love is low angst, and the characters work through their issues together, which was refreshing. Noah Steele's writing instantly drew me in, and I adored Aiden and Derrek, and was rooting for them. I absolutely loved Oliver, and can't wait for his story in book 2. Racing into Love is a great start to a series, and as a stand alone romance.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2019This book brings a whole new meaning to the phrase Insta-love. I can normally get with the trope when I know that's what is in store, but this book took the "insta" a little too far for my tastes. With that and not a lot of character development, I wasn't sure if I was going to finish the book or not.
But, I did. If you're willing to overlook a formulaic storyline, the book somehow kept my attention. But with Aiden's emotional issues regarding Derrek's job, and Derrek's abandonment issues, it seems like the romance is doomed from the start.
Then, there's the bad guy. They are pretty diabolical and manipulative, but though Derrek doesn't see the viper, Aiden knows they're bad news. The main thing that pushed this story over the top, IMO, is the lengths Derrek is willing to go to in order to make Aiden happy. It's a game changer for a very new and untried relationship.
When the s#!t hits the fan, and Aiden's PTSD is used to the bad guys' advantage, some of Derrek's stories begin to make more sense. But Aiden is a different kind of person, and finds the strength to hold on to his faith just long enough.
Overall, this is not a horrible book. If it hadn't been decent enough to keep my attention til the end, it would have been a lower rating. However, even with all of my complaints, it did have its moments. And, of course, Aiden and Derrek get their happily ever after, and the second book in this series is set up for round two.
I truly hope you have a more romantic heart than I. Happy reading!
* I received an ARC of this book and I am leaving my honest review. *

Such a heart warming story! I was rooting for Aiden to work through his issues from the first hint. He came a long way in a short time with the right person. This book made my heart full and I will be reading the rest of the series!

4.0 out of 5 stars High speed, high drama romance
I recently read one of Noah's short stories and enjoyed it so was inspired to seek out some longer works.
I'm not a huge fan of melodrama ("a sensational dramatic piece with exaggerated characters and exciting events intended to appeal to the emotions") which seems to be the style of this book, but it obviously has it's place in the romance world. So, I've attempted to ignore my personal feelings about melodrama and review based on whether Racing into Love is well written for the style. And I have to say it is.
There are secret villains, every emotion is dialled up to 11 and the main characters rapidly move from first meeting to declarations of love. The plot moves along at a quick pace, keeping your attention. Many the characters have sensational jobs (race car driver, writer, rock star) and Aiden in particular has a back story designed to make you feel strong emotions.
I would have liked a bit more variation with some of the verbs; sometimes a character was described as 'shouting' when that action didn't seem to fit the emotion of the scene.
Otherwise, Racing into Love is a decently written high drama romance with a HEA.
