Spicy, sweet and swoony to the max, Rebel Yule is a perfect story for my favorite goaltender. Channeling the feel of the OG Rebels couples, Erik and Casey are a perfect match. Through a slew of misunderstandings, a heap of baggage and some serious insecurities, will our tenacious goalkeeper manages to leverage the holiday spirit (along with some underhanded help from the meddlesome Rebel family) to sweep Casey off her feet and show her that she is definitely special to him? 4.5 stars and God Jul

    I always choose a few Christmas-themed books to read every year. Sometimes they make me smile, sometimes they make me cry, sometimes both (!) and sometimes... they're written by Kate Meader and they make me wonder where I can find a guy like Erik Jorgenson.

    Erik is the Swedish goalie of the Rookie Rebels, and an all around nice guy. Casey is Harper's (i.e., the boss') personal assistant. He has his sights set on her, but she doesn't give him the time of day. She's amazing to everyone, but not to him, and it doesn't make sense. What did he ever do to her, anyway?
    He's bound to find out after the elevator they're in together malfunctions and stops, and after an interesting Christmas party.

    I loved Erik, but I also loved Casey. He's a total sweetheart, with a huge heart, and so trustworthy. She has some baggage, and she's dealing with it, but she's a strong gal. They have very strong chemistry, but it's more than that: it's a real connection.
    While this is a novella, there is full character development, so you get to know them well. And you fall in love with both of them.

    The Christmas vibe is strong and heartwarming. Erik's Swedish Christmas traditions were the cutest thing. I love being immersed in other cultures, and the attention to detail on this was pretty much incredible.

    Rebel Yule is the perfect book to get you in the holiday mood. It has a pinch of friendship, a dash of sweetness, a sprinkling of steam, and a whole lot of heart.

    A new Kate Meader book is always a treat, especially one involving the Rebel family. Christmas comes early with Rebel Yule, but it was the perfect time for the fun, festive read.

    Anyone who’s read the Rebel series has witnessed the ongoing tension between Casey and Erik. The affable goaltender has been completely baffled by her animosity towards him. He’s finally had enough and is determined to discover what he’s done to make her hate his guts.

    It’s both a relief and a little bittersweet to finally learn Casey and Erik’s backstory. I love the passion of a good enemies -to-lovers trope. Their contentious relationship as always given me those vibes, so it’s been fun watching the skirmishes – aka foreplay – between the two in the previous Rebel installments. Their sparks gave me life and kept me guessing at the reason.

    My guess was correct in the broader sense. I suspect most readers will be, but I’m not sure anyone could have anticipated the exact reason. It’s unique and refreshing. Kudos to the author for delivering the unexpected.

    Erik has always been the carefree, goofy Rebel. Who knew he’d also be one of the sweetest and most adorable? His love of his family, their holiday traditions, and his role as caretaker was endearing.

    I’m a huge fan of both Rebel series, so loved seeing many of my favorite characters in the more festive, celebratory holiday environment. Rebel Yule was a fun addition to the series. Even though I just reread the series, it makes me want to dive right back in again.

    I really do love this series so much. I haven’t been disappointed by a single hero or heroine so far!!

    Finally, after hints in the previous book, we find out just what Erik did to Casey! It was an interesting situation, to say the least. I really liked the way that Erik pursued Casey but went out of his way to make sure he respected her while doing so. How are all of these hot hockey players just so perfect?

    I loved reading about the various Swedish holiday traditions and how Erik celebrated so big. I really, really loved how the whole crew got together to celebrate and give each other a hard time while also doling out great advice.

    This was a perfect blend of sexy & sweet with all the holiday cheer that I love about this time of year!!

    Rebel Yule is a holiday novella part of the Rookie Rebels series and if you read the other books in the series you know and love the goalie Erik.

She is nice and friendly to everyone but Erik and after almost a year he had enough and he wants to find out what he did to make her mad at him.

    I really enjoyed reading about Erik and Casey and how they try to make a relationship work. We get to know Erik much better and learn more about his Swedish holiday traditions and also about his family and home town.
    It was great getting to see characters from previous books and I loved the matchmaker role Harper played in Erik and Casey getting together.
    Rebel Yule is a great low angst holiday novella that will make you smile while reading it!

    I have been waiting for Erik "Fish" Jorgenson's book since the beginning (and even asked on Kate Meader's Facebook group if he'd ever get a book), and not only did she finally deliver, but it was fantastic!

    Fish has a thing for Casey, assistant to main boss lady of the Chicago Rebels hockey team, and she looks at him like he is the gum on the bottom of her shoe, and he can't figure out why. When Casey is forced to spend time in close proximity to him, the truth comes out, and Fish sets out to change her mind about him.

    Christmas stories aren't normally my jam, especially when it's not yet Hallowe'en, but this one was seriously adorable and one of those "hard to put down at work" types of books.

    5 stars!

    My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough and now I have to wait until 2022 for the next Rookie Rebels book to be released!

    As usual, Kate Meader has brought us a truly heart-warming story with interesting plot lines and characters.
    I've wanted to read Erik's happily ever after since first meeting him in the original Chicago Rebels books and now we have it. It's a sweet love story with Erik and Casey being engaging central characters. Kate's books are written with warmth and humour - the exchanges between the team members are too funny and as for Tara, she is hilarious. I see these are setting us up for lots of fun in the next Rookie Rebels book.
    I enjoyed the festive feel of the book and learning about Swedish Christmas traditions. I'll now savour my memories of the book and then reread it, followed by immersing myself in the audiobook!
    A welcome addition to the Rookie Rebels world.

    Casey has been giving the kind hearted Swede the cold shoulder, she was the only one that was openly hostile towards Erik, who is loved by everyone but not Casey!

    The rebels are gearing up for Christmas but for both Casey and Erik Christmas will be a quiet one. All of Erik's close friends on the team are paired up and he is feeling a little lonely this Christmas. Casey's not close to her parents and they have their own lives and are off on holiday so she is planning a quiet one. But with a little nudge from their boss maybe it will be a happy Christmas after all!

    It's like being  back with family and I loved every minute of it!  We also got got spend sometime will all our favourite rebels and also got a tiny glimpse into the next book in the series and I can't wait!

    It's been ages since I've read a story connected to the Rebels hockey series, and so I thought I'd catch up by reading Rebel Yule, and I'm glad I did as it was an enjoyable and sweet holiday novella. That had likable characters, a little heat and a few misunderstandings. Not to mention lots of Swedish holiday traditions which I really enjoyed learning about and I was easily engaged throughout.
