    Evan's stories just keep on getting better! This time he's hired to work on a case of a spouse's disappearance and which is very similar to that of his wife. He'll be involved in world where everything is not as it seems to be and everyone is holding back part of the truth, including the person who hired him. He's also getting nearer to the answers he searches regarding his own wife's case.
    Another easy to read and fast-paced story, with a special sense of humor even when the main character is under difficult situations.

    I have enjoyed all of the books in this series but I am finding it difficult to like Evan Buckley. In this book he abandoned two men in a fight for their lives and went home to sleep without calling the police. He also does so many stupid things. I know they help to bring the story to where the author wants to take it but I find myself wanting to either kick Evan in the behind or slap him upside the head! If you can get past Evan, the plots and turns and twists grip you from the beginning. I would like to see Evan as a character I could like, but my feelings about him won't keep me from reading the next in the series.

    A woman thought dead for years suddenly appears in a couple of photos sent to her husband. The husband hires Evan to search for her or disprove the photos. Evan is torn because of the similarities with his own search for Sarah. But he decides to take on the case and begins stepping on toes and being chased by thugs which keeps the story moving along. Adamson wakes from his coma and begins messing with Evan's mind about Sarah. Only at the very end do we find out who dunit and how. It is a very well thought out and interesting read.

    This is book 5 in the Evan Buckley series. This is the best one yet. Evan is on the case once again and as usual there are undesirable thugs after his blood. This case is quite a convoluted one and it takes some twists and turns to get to the conclusions. His life is threatened along with that of his clients and the people that are associated with the case. Perhaps if they had been honest from the start then things might have gone better for them and Evan. As always Kate Gillory and her sidekick Ryder are hovering in the background, with the sparks continuing to fly between Kate and Evan, and Evan's case of his missing wife is still unsolved but with a few more pieces of the jigsaw being revealed to tease the reader. Brilliant!
    I received an ARC of this book for and I voluntarily leave an honest review. I have also purchased the book.

    If you've never read the Evan Buckley series I would highly recommend you do so. This particular book was so good it was almost impossible to put down. At one point I was laughing so hard. It's really nice to have a book with lots of action, intrigue, suspense and mystery and then add humor to it. I gave this book 5 stars.

One of the great strengths of this novel is its commitment to atmosphere, which is presented with vivid description and a chilling sense of locations, and settings which really give you chills especially in the cemetery scenes.
    This is a great solid mystery novel that is recommended for readers seeking new thrills and a mystery that genuinely doesn’t let up until the final page.
