    OMG Kerri is bringing it with this series! I could not put this one down until I finished it. It is a novella so it was short but damn did it pack a punch like no ones business.

    Can you imagine two brothers with a father who is all about himself and his club. One brother chooses the Priesthood and the other chooses the club life. Then put in the mix a girl they both like. She is stuck in the middle of good and evil but the Priest will not let anything happen to her even though the bad son is going to try everything in his arsenal to bring down the good brother but what he doesn't realize is that there is no way the good one is going to give in.

    This is the story of Cain and Abel from the bible mixed with some serious club business! This series is a must read and I can't wait for the next book!

    Kerri Ann did a great job on Rook. The story had a great plot and it was well written. The story was filled with different emotions. It had suspense, action and drama. It was a dark read with twists. True and Strike were strong characters. They are twins that have gone two different paths in life. I enjoyed this story. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. Thank you, Kerri Ann. Great work :)

    I’m not really sure this is for me. Priest and God and tainting is all a no go for me. This being a prequel I’m hoping maybe the next will be MC only. I don’t mind dark or crazy I just don’t like the church intermingled. I’ll go on and see but if it continues involving his priesthood and the church I’m out.

    This novella was previously published as Envy, and is the bridging story between King & Pawn. This is a beautifully written story, which is intense, dark, twisted, gritty, and filled with lust, jealousy, and pain, and is about being haunted by ones demons, and fighting through them. I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, and I highly recommend her work for all MC lovers!

    He became a priest because of his darkness, the same way Bracken’s does with the need for mayhem. In his confession he says he tainted the soul of a priest reminding him what he’s hiding from, letting Kyden know, it’s time to come home.
    Kyden fights the demons inside him, cutting himself, trying to get the darkness escape and letting the evil seed escape is a daily ritual for him.
    His brother tries to use his one weakness against him to get what he wants, showing Kyden that the club still uses people as tools, he ran and keeps getting dragged back, Bracken knows how to push him, he wants Strike to come back.

    This is a truly dark read about twins raised in a dangerous MC. The Broken Bows. With their father as President, their path was clear at an early age. However, Kyden couldn't keep up the life. He chose the Church as a way to give penance for his misdeeds. Still, will the stronger twin allow him to remove himself? With all he's experienced, can he leave it all? Can he give up the feelings for one woman?

    While in honesty I have to say I didn't like the story. Yet, it was compelling and I completed it, suffering right along with Kyden. It is a short read and a bridge from King to the next book. It will answer questions.
