Roommates Kindle Edition

4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 440 ratings

College sophomore Lucas has never been kissed--until the night he goes into heat.

Lucas has big plans. He wants to graduate, go to law-school and become an advocate for omega rights. To accomplish all that, though, there's a secret he needs to keep—no one can ever discover that he’s omega. So far, everything’s gone to plan, until he finds himself rooming with the hottest alpha on campus.

At first glance, Adam seems to have it all. He's an alpha, a star player on the college football team and heir to his parents' extremely successful business. His future is secure--except it's not the future he wants. He's not interested in their money or the willing omegas his mother would love to set him up with. What he is interested in is his new roommate, though he knows his chances are slim. Lucas is a beta after all, and beta males are rarely interested in other men. Still, he has to try his luck, even if it means disappointing his parents.

A drink too many at a frat party leads to a night of passion—and unexpected consequences for both young men. While Lucas fights to save the career he’s always dreamed of, Adam fights to save the family he never knew he wanted. And they learn that, together, all battles can be won.

While this book is set in the same universe as the Oceanport Omegas series, knowledge of that series is not necessary to enjoy this story.

Omega in college to become a lawyers he can help omega rights. An alpha who does not understand why he is drawn to his beta roommate. Lovely story! Read to find out what happens!

My second book by Ann-Katrin Byrde and this one is just as much fun!

Roommates is listed as being part of the Oceanport Omegas universe, but I didn't have any trouble enjoying this one as a standalone.

Ann-Katrin Byrde has laid down an interesting Omegaverse. There are alphas, betas, and omegas, as well as males and females. I enjoy getting this variety in the culture and the impact that creativity can add to the stories.

The audio is performed by John Solo who does a wonderful job with these characters. His wide variety of voices suits this cast perfectly (the one he uses for Adam is adorable).

Light on angst, a super sweet romance, and an interesting storyline, I'm looking forward to exploring the Oceanside Omegas series.

A cute little story that is exactly what you would expect from the blurb. The characters are sweet and overall it is fairly low angst. Though it does touch in a controversial topic I think it was handled realistically. Check this out if you want a short, cute read.

The Roommate is part of the Oceanport Omegas/Second Chance universe, but it can be read as a standalone very easily. This is an omegaverse book with Alpha/Beta/Omega tropes and mpreg. I suggest reading this book after reading all the books in the Oceanport Omegas series but before you read Second Chances.

Lucas is an omega who’s been masquerading as a beta most of his life. A freak twist of fate has him falling into bed with his alpha roommate. The consequences of that night forces Lucas and Adam, his alpha roommate, to make difficult choices for their future. This book was really interesting and it helped to flesh out the Oceanport Omegas universe even more.

    Roommates
    By: Ann-Katrin Byrde
    Narrated by: John Solo

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it is well written with interesting and original storylines that are captivating from start to end. I adored the two lead characters, Lucas and Adam, college students who were paired to gather as roommates. Adam, an omega, is studying law with plans of becoming an advocate for Omega rights. He is not happy with the way Omegas are treated and wants to change that so they have more opportunities and choices. He has gotten far in his studies because everyone is under the impression that he is a beta, including Adam. Adam, an alpha and a member of the college’ football team. His family have plans for him to join their business but that is not what he wants. He does want Lucas and after a few drinks the two wind up hooking up for a night of sizzling passion. That night lead to something unexpected, something that threatens Lucas’s future career and something Adam did not know he wanted or was ready for. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is nicely plotted and contains a whole lot of heart. I was impressed how supportive Lucas’ parents were and how they handled the whole situation, I was happy with the way Adam handled the news and what he did about it. Ann-Katrin Byrde, thank you for another enjoyable and entertaining story, I loved every minute of it.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, John Solo is a talented narrator and voice artist. He does a great job bringing these characters to life, giving each their own distinct voice which makes it easy to follow along and know who is who. His portrayal of the characters is spot on, he grasps their persona, takes the role and makes it his own. He sets the perfect tone for the story, captures the character’s emotions and projects them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen.

Loved Adam!! He saw what he wanted and went after it!! Lucas got on my nerves. While I understood his reasoning, I didn't like some of his decisions!! But I really enjoyed their journey.

Always liked College/roommate tropes. This one was light and sweet. This is an alpha/omega mpreg without being shifters.
