I’m a happily married mom whose kids are grown! I've always written stories, but only found the courage to publish in my 40s. This midlife career change has been amazing and proves it's never too late to follow your dreams. I plan to keep writing for as long as my readers want my books. I love sharing the stories of the different people who live in my imagination. My books are filled with humor, a few tears, and the underlying message to never give up and keep hoping, even in the darkest of times, because life can change on a dime when you least expect it. This theme comes from a lifetime of lessons learned on my own hard journey through the pains of poverty, the loss of more loved ones than I’d care to count, and the struggles of living through chronic illnesses. Life can be hard, but it can also be good! Through it all I’ve found that love, laughter, and family can make all the difference, and that’s what I try to bring to every tale I tell.

    Since book one, I knew Davey's book was going to be special, it's the big finale, after all.

    This volume is a little bit different than my usual fare, you're used to seeing two more masculine guys as protagonists. It's nice to see Susie Hawk defy conventional tropes. Davey and Sammy we work very well together. It takes a little while for things to mash, but when they do the two men have good chemistry. I think this was an excellent, well-rounded finale to what's been a very enjoyable series. Soft, sweet, romance. Two men raising their children together after a tragedy. Very mild, light kink.     I’m glad that Davey finally gets a chance at love with his best friend Sammy. I enjoyed this unique storyline. Davey is funny, sweet, silly, smart, and fabulous but so is Sammy. That is how life is sometimes when what you are looking for is right in front of you. There is enough drama along with romance and sexy times to make this an interesting and fun tale.     Ahhhh, I was so glad to finally get Davey’s story!! I just absolutely LOVE where he landed (and that Sammy got his happy ending after a lot of heartbreak, too). Definitely recommend reading the rest of the series first — their story is so much sweeter knowing the history. Especially Sammy and Raphael’s story in the previous book in the series. This book and the whole series was just *chef’s kiss*

    No one, not a daddy or even a boy will ever need to follow any of Davey's other 97 rules than this one. After all it is his Rule #1 with all the other rules are kinda superfluous. In each book of this series Davey has always come across as a Boy but changes ands/or circumstances evolve. If the reader hasn't kept up with this series they could get lost by the inclusion of previous characters so reading the previous works could help in understanding these characters playing their parts in this book. Besties before and after Raphael's passing Sammy and Davey face life together. Their friendship was the life saver that kept each other afloat when Ralph succumbed. A natural element in this story is with Sammy's daughter Samantha Jade aka/SJ who is on the cusp of womanhood and it falls to these two men to face dealing with an unruly almost tween. Realistic approaches are dealt with in this family situation. As stated in my title Davey's first rule is the primary rule. This final book was a slow burn natural evolution and was a pleasure for me to read and hints of an offshoot series for some time in the future look promising.

    Oh my goodness! I loved this book so much. Davey and Sammy are freaking wonderful and I love them separately and together.

    I have enjoyed Davey's sass and snark since book one. He has definitely grown since then, but still himself. I had fun with everyone seeing something so obvious, but that he never see it.

    Sammy hasn't had as big of a roll in the series, but he doesn't disappoint. I love him and how wonderful he is in this book. You don't need to read the previous books, but you really should to get the most out of the story and just because they are great books too.

    I couldn’t wait to get Davey’s book, as the previous book went on I kept thinking he and Sammy would end up together but didn’t know how. They’re are both boys but they seemed perfect together and I thought maybe they’d find a daddy for the two of them. I loved the turn Daveys story took, he was Daddy all along♥️. I love Davey’s story and realization/ translation to daddy, he dosent have all the answers and has some insecurities but his best friend now lover Sammy is with him through their journey. Loved this series and Davey’s book was a perfect end, can’t wait I see what’s next for this author.

    Davey and Sammy! They are so perfect together. I've had a soft spot for both of them since they were 1st introduced in book 1. Seeing how they went from besties to lovers was so enjoyable. Having Davey's mind blown was also a big plus. He's been such an advocate for everyone in the club to be excepted for who they are, that when he realizes he is more daddy then boy it throws him off. Seeing him work through things and come out on top (while being a bottom....lol) was really special. Sammy and Davey have had an amazing relationship since they first met, and I really appreciate their journey.

    Quite a surprise twist for me. Others may have figured it out, or guessed, but I'm an "in the moment" reader, and follow the events paragraph by paragraph.

    I needed a handful of tissues for this story. It brought out the tears, and all of the feels. In case using tissues causes a bathroom tissue hardship during the Coronavirus plague, you might want to use a bathsheet sized towel to dab at those tears.

    Susan Hawke takes us through preteen trials, and frantic parent moments. Davey earns his reputation as a fixer of sorts, even as he denies it to himself.

    This is a lovely, sweet story that opens Davey's eyes to the perfect partner for him.

    I am going to put a *spoiler alert* here just in case.

    This was such a great book and the perfect ending for Davey's very own story.
    After a few books and the wonderfully sassy Davey making is fabulous appearances, I wasn't sure what type of daddy would actually be good for him.
    And then the table was turned around on him (and me) in the process and it made perfect sense.

    His relationship with Sammy made so much sense, it felt so organic and a natural progression of their relationship, I just absolutely loved it.
    I loved as well how it kind of turned into a slow burn, how we see them both go through the process of changing their relationship while already having the (close to) perfect relationship. I loved how they navigate everything with each other. And I loved how there was no drama directly affecting their relationship.
    Loved the kids and their family dynamics was very nice.
    Loved the humour, the snark, the love and the hot moments (so so hot).

    Overall an amazing conclusion to this story

    There are no words to explain how much I loved Davey and Sammy’s story. There were tears (both happy and sad), laughter, happy sighs and so much emotion that my heart almost couldn’t take it.

    Davey as always is fabulous (and he knows it). I loved how he went on to discover he wasn’t as he thought - and just how much of a change that could make to his mind. Sammy is sweet and I’m so glad that after all he had been though he got a second chance for a new HEA with his best friend.

    Of course I loved getting to catch up with the other couple from the series and seeing where they are in their lives. It gave me all the warm fuzzies to see how they got on. Plus the small teaser about the spin off series! OMG sign me up now!!!
