Final Proposal: A billionaire, workplace, friends to lovers, forced proximity romance (The S.I.N. Series (The Sharpe Brothers) Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 3,015 ratings

Fall in love with billionaire, Fordham Sharpe, and sassy businesswoman, Ellery Sinclair, in this all-new wrong place at the right time, forced proximity, office romance by New York Times bestselling author, K. Bromberg.

One stormy night.
One hotel bar full of stranded travelers.
One available chair next to a charming, mysterious, and sexy-as-hell man.

There was something about him and our conversation that made me feel alive. That made me feel heard.
That sparked a fire within me.

When our paths crossed again, I never expected the stranger to be Fordham Sharpe, one-third of the sinfully rich and ridiculously successful Sharpe International Network brothers. Nor did I expect we’d become partners—
fifty-fifty—in a hotel transformation that dreams were made of.

My dreams, anyway.

To him, I was off limits.
He was my venture partner, and we knew better than to mix business with pleasure. But we had one thing in common—we were both hiding. From our pasts. From unresolved family conflicts. From what really mattered—our hearts.

But as each day passed, our mutual attraction became harder to resist.

We agreed to the partnership to prove our worth to our families, but perhaps we’d only prove our need for something else.
Each other.

Are you ready to fall for the Sharpe brothers in K. Bromberg's sexy, contemporary, billionaire romance series? These books can all be read as standalones, but can be enjoyed as a series as well . . .

New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary romance novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines and damaged heroes, who we love to hate but can’t help to love.

A mom of three, she plots her novels in between school runs, sports practices, and figuring out how to navigate parenting teenagers (send more wine!). More often than not, she does all of this with her laptop in tow, and her mind daydreaming of the current hero she is writing.

Since publishing her first book on a whim in 2013, Kristy has sold over two million copies of her books across twenty different countries and has landed on the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists over thirty times. Her Driven trilogy has been adapted for film and is available on the streaming platform Passionflix as well as Amazon.

Renovation Romance! 4.5 stars!

Renovation Romance! 4.5 stars!
“You can’t force love. You either feel it or you don’t. And not acknowledging it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. But once you put it out there, you can’t exactly take it back” Renovation romance! The laughter, the nicknames, the support for each other’s dreams, each moment of this book had me smiling and cheering for that happily ever after. A chance encounter at a rundown seaside resort bar led to an a epic business partnership and romance neither Ellery nor Ford could deny. The opening scene when they first met at the bar really set the dynamic for the their whole relationship, Ford was grumpy and gruff and Ellery was charismatic and talkative. There was no denying the spark of chemistry between them but Ellery’s past certainly put a damper on a start to their romance, being vulnerable again wasn’t something she ever wanted to be. “No one’s an expert when it comes to love. That’s the beauty and the pain of it.” The hotel renovation aspect added a fun forced proximity element to story, I love a good after shower towel scene, hello sexy billionaire!! With Ellery keeping her emotions so guarded, it was hard for Ford to build a relationship with her, but he was not easily deterred. I loved the way Ford had utter trust in her, helping to build her confidence that her decisions truly didn’t need anyones approval, she was capable of everything she set out to do. She deserved so much love after losing both her parents, even more so with having to deal with her stepbrothers undermining her at every turn. And while Ford had the love and support of his brothers, he needed someone to truly understand his pain and Ellery was his perfect match. Overall I loved the banter, the renovation aspect and the heart heeling emotions that this story brought out in me! 4.5 stars.

Ellery has grown weary of being an afterthought in the family business and has come to the difficult truth that not only will her stepfather not appreciate the skills she has to offer but her stepbrothers will continue to use her ideas as their own. She has decided to purchase a hotel and make it into a masterpiece that will solidify her own reputation, but she never expected that she will face competition or that she would not have a partner.

Ford is going through a difficult time with his family as well. He finds himself on the opposite side of an issue with his brothers, so he decides to take on a project of his own. The one thing he hadn’t expected was that it would require working with a woman who left an unforgettable impression when they found themselves stranded together.

Ellery is cautious both because of the people she has lost and the end of her last romantic relationship which never should have progressed as far as it did. Ford knows that he should keep his distance due to their professional relationship and her recent romantic past however the intense chemistry and witty banter lead up to an emotional connection that neither will be able to deny despite the turmoil they endure along the way.

This was quick and bingeable, but ultimately a little unfulfilling. Bromberg is a one-click author for me, someone who delivers 5-star reads time and time again. So there was a lot of good stuff going on - some great sexual tension, an engaging meet cute, and a romance that mixes light and sexy moments with deeper, angstier themes. It flew by, was easy to binge, and wraps up the series nicely while still being a standalone. But... there was just something missing for me. It felt like a lot more telling than showing, with VERY short chapters that simply scratched the surface. I could've done without all of the flashbacks, because the time would've been better spent on actually developing the relationship beyond a convenient workplace hookup. It's not quite in 3-star territory for me, but I never even considered a 5-star rating, which was both a surprise and disappointment.

The story follows Ford, the final triplet to meet his match. Stranded in a storm, Ford rides out a truly terrible day at an inn, where he meets a beautiful stranger. Elle and Ford strike up a conversation, and they wait out the storm while connecting on a level neither one has in a long time. The only problem? Elle has an engagement ring on her finger, so the attraction that sparks between them will just have to be ignored. When Ford runs into Elle at a real estate auction a few weeks later, she's ringless and bidding against him on an investment property. The two somehow find themselves investing in the project together, and it's not long before they're spending their days on the renovation. But Elle still has a tan line on her finger, so crossing any other lines seems like a bad, bad idea.

I'm a big fan of Bromberg's writing style, so this was easy to devour in one sitting. The initial meet cute was great, and I could feel the tension. Having Elle be engaged at the start adds an extra kernel of conflict, so I was excited about the potential in the story. Plus, Ford makes a very solid hero, a businessman who isn't afraid of a relationship and treats her like an equal. It was Elle who was tougher to like, because she was running scared the entire time. She's also part of the reason why their relationship felt so lust-based for the majority of the book, and the quick interactions didn't do much to change that. Each chapter was only a handful of pages, so the pacing was super quick and the conversations felt shallow. I really wanted to love it, but I didn't have much of an emotional attachment to the characters. So this ended up being a 3.5-star read for me - a decent end to the series, but not a memorable experience.

Audio note: The audio was great! Jason Clarke is one of my favorites, so the dual narration was enjoyable and very relaxing. The runtime is short enough (8ish hours) to finish in a single day, and it worked well as a workday listen. I wouldn't say that it's a slow burn, but they have to get through the obstacle of Elle's engagement before anything can happen, and there were some sexy, tense moments along the way. Bromberg excels at tension. So this is the kind of easy, steamy read that is fun to binge, and it works well in the audio format.

...when you're throwing a pity party"

I bought this book on 10/4/22. Just past a year. It hurts my soul to have just now read it.

I agree with Ellery's view on love. I'm currently there now. I felt everything Ellery felt. My husband divorced me on 7/13/20 and my best friend died 6/16/21. I 100% agree with Ellery where everyone she loved left. Everyone I loved left too. I know I'm still healing and I also understand her reasoning about not reading epilogues. I love books where the reader can relate to either the H or h. These two scenes made me cry. And it fills my heart.

I also cried when Just Ford was explained. I liked Maxton (Callahan, Ledger and Ford- father) in Last Resort. I absolutely despised him in One Condition. And he redeemed himself in this one. Maxton was right. About what he told Ford- when you find the right woman. I also get the reasoning behind the book.

The germ mix and ice cream made me smile. I had fun with these.

I was so surprised when Ford and Ellery met. And how they finally came back to meet each other at a surprise meeting. It really set the stage. And I was super happy when they finally got together. I liked Ford. I liked Ellery. They were simple people but they fortunately had money. Both of them. I loved them together. It was nice to hear from Callahan/Sutton (Last Resort) and Ledger/Asher (On One Condition). These books aren't required to enjoy this one but I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.

I feel satisfied and so very smiley. This book had most of the feels and I'm left calm and I feel closure. I'd love to see a novella about these guys. I'd like to see how they're doing.

    Still smiling.

This has been a great series and I loved ford as much as his brothers although I wanted to hit them first for not understanding his issue with the book. Ellery I liked until the near to last chapter when her rejection/losing people she loved kicked in and went on too long. That said loved their relationship and journey. Highly recommend this series and would have liked an epilogue a few years into their futures.

This is Ford’s story. Number three in the Sharpe triplets. Callahan and Ledger are also present giving their support and we learn more about their characters. We start with Ford unable to get home following a storm
that blocks of the roads. He encounters Ellery who also is stranded. They spend the night in each other’s company and a connection blossoms. The story is full of emotional turmoil and tension of both main characters. Relationships are the issue, as well as uncertainty, trust and being allowed to fly. Humour still abounds and the tender warm connection between the two is electrifying. The romance episodes are really hot and steamy, but also very tender and embracing. I thought I really liked both Ledger and Callahan, but for me Ford is really caring, gentlemanly and incredibly patient. Or rather his character is. Ellery is scared, but a force to be reconned with. She might not be given much credence with her step brothers or possibly her step Dad, having a Cinderella complex, but given the responsibility and she shines. Ford and Ellery are partners that develop through a project, and the result is a wonderful story, with a great epilogue.

Loved it! Two people definitely not looking for even a relationship, never mind love, manage to find something in each other that they hadn't known before. How to make it to the epilogue and beyond.

Ford and Elle meet on a stormy night in a run down hotel bar. The roads are closed, there are no rooms nearby, so a night in a bar with a couple of bottles for company it is. They talk way into the night about what they would do if the hotel was theirs.

In the cold light of day they go their separate ways with the thought of never seeing each other again. When the hotel comes up for sale by auction Ford decides its just the type of pet project he would like to take on and goes off to the auction determined he's going to have it. Only problem is that someone else has the same idea - Elle!

This is where the fun begins. Can two strangers come to an agreement over the hotel? Good story to find out!
