    It’s a light-hearted fre-enemies to lovers and close proximity romance tale. Olivia’s brother (Liam) sets up his best friend to accompany her to Rio on her vacation. Aiden is supposed to be securing Olivia’s safety without her knowing. They’ve always had a teasing/challenging relationship. Surprisingly, they tour around Rio together and enjoy the dancing, artisan markets, and museums while acknowledging the magnetic pull on each other.

    I was hoping to find out more about the times Aiden and Liam shared while in the military. Aiden refers to the fact he owes his lifelong loyalty to Liam.

    It was a quick read for me with lots of passion.

    This was my first Emily Anne James book and I appreciate the change to review an ARC copy of this book.

    Loving My Brother's Forbidden Best Friend starts with our MMC & FMC already knowing each other as they grew up alongside one another as Aiden was best friends with Olivia's brother Liam. They've both slightly been into the other although neither wants to admit it and Olivia acts as though he annoys her but only because she wants to experience the world by herself, not have a chaperone simply because her brother is overprotective. They end up in Rio where the fake engagement takes place and seeing as how every twist and turn in the book was predictable, the pregnancy was inevitable.

    I spent a good eighty percent waiting for another party to show up saying they were pregnant, therefore throwing a wrench in the relationship between the main characters. Especially given that Aiden continually acted like he was in Rio for a different reason. I can't complain though because I did want a read that was easy to follow and that could be considered just a bit of fun. It wasn't anything extraordinary or anything that hasn't been done before BUT it was enjoyable. I haven't read any of the others in the series but I did like the little hints we got of other characters like Olivia's brothers and her best friend / stepmom Bloom.

    I loved Aiden and Olivia the bantering back and forth and the drama, angst and the great sexual chemistry they keep fighting but will their true feelings will keep you captivated to read more and more and crave more

    Olivia is on her way to Rio to get over her last relationship and bumps into Aiden on the plane. Unbeknownst to her Liam her brother asked him to accompany her to Rio for protection. When a man tries to make acquaintance with her, he steps in and tells him he is her fiancé, and it starts Olivia and Rio's journey, but will it all be upended when her brother finds out about his best friend and his sister. This story kept me glued to the pages from start to finish.

    Olivia is off on a trip to Rio, her life long dream trip. Unexpectedly, she is joined by Aiden. Not only her childhood crush, but her brother's best friend.
    At first she is upset and resistant on him crashing on her dream vacation, but they quickly fall into a comfortable groove. The trip is filled with them trying to fight the connection to each other and falling quickly into a secret relationship. The spice was definitely there and it had it's good moments.

    I did enjoy this book, but - it doesn’t flow well. It’s not written well, in my opinion for what it’s worth. I’m not a writer, and while I appreciate it takes talent to write novels, this one would be so much better if the story flowed more.
