    The final ebook/audiobook in this series maintains a 4 star rating. The narrator for the audiobook does a well enough job to keep interest. Where book one spiraled through a murky unreliable narrative from the main character and dived deeper into a dark twisted world in book two, book three does bring it turn it around while closing out the loose threads. This part of the story does move away from the heavier focus on Jane's career into a more personal aspect--it slows the pace compared to the first two books--but it still brings closure. It doesn't have as many twists, turns, or surprises and instead lightens the mood given the darker subject matter throughout the series. Overall a good series for any reader who enjoys complex stories and characters.

Tara does a wonderful job of developing characters and especially strong female characters. This is what draws me to her books time and time again. Jane Spears is a lost but strong soul who has been searching for her past in the minds of others. Though she has gone on mind runs to solve unspeakable crimes, she subconsciously learns more about herself by revealing her hidden past. The twists and turns overwhelmed me in this book, more so that the first two books...In a GOOD way! Soul and Blade=suspenseful genius!! If you haven't read this series, start at the beginning and READ IT NOW!!

    I'm actually sad this fantastic series has come to an end. I've been listening to the audio (mostly) and it has really made my journeys to and from work very enjoyable (although the Irish and Scottish accents need a bit of work...sorry!!)
    It's definitely on the dark side of suspense, but I've loved the twists and turns, but be warned there are dark and gruesome bits not for the faint hearted. Just when I thought all was going well for Jayne and the gorgeous Dr Dash, the author threw a hell of a spanner in the works!

    This book and this series has kept me intrigued all the way through, the characters, especially Jayne have grown and developed, but never compromised. They stayed true to themselves and I loved it. 5 stars

There's lots of twists and turns and more questions are raised before the story comes to a fantastic and very satisfying end. I certainly didn't see the twists coming and I loved that I was kept guessing all the way. A great finish to an also me series.

    I love love love this series of books, there are so many twists and turns you are always kept guessing. Soul and Blade ties everything up nicely as well as being a rollercoaster ride in itself. I would highly recommend reading the Blood and Bone series.
