V.F.Mason always loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her mama over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) She studied filmmaking and thought that would feed her desire for stories, but that didn't happen.

Finally, when she was tired of all those voices in her head, she sat down and wrote a book. It was a huge decision to make and she thanks her friends and family for supporting her in it.

When she is not writing, she can be found with her friends doing all sorts of crazy things or reading recent romance books that were written by her favorite authors.

“In the darkness, the monster can claim his bride, but in the light, they will be separated once again.”  5 twisted and bloody stars!!! I loved this book, V.F. Mason’s characters are amazing in every way, her alphas are possessive, dark and yet you can’t keep yourself from falling in love with them; while her heroines are sweet, independent and strong; making perfect couples for every story.  Contrary to Greek Mythology, Briseis Dawson is not looking for her Achilles; her whole life she’s been hidden like a dirty secret, her father Howard Dawson send her away for years, now she’s back from exile, but the future that holds her is in the devils’ den.  Santiago Cortez is the king of darkness and deceit, and part of The Four Dark Horsemen, powerful and dangerous men who seek vengeance for the past that made them the monsters they are today. Santiago wants Briseis, and he is trapping the princess in his castle and he’s never letting her go.  If I had to choose one book to fall in love with V.F. Mason’s stories, this would be a great one, once you get a glimpse of all her dark alphas, you won’t be able to stop!

    This book has got to be in the top 3 of my favorite books by VF Mason, and, quite possibly, my all times favorites as well. If you are a fan of this author’s books, and you are in the know about who the four dark horsemen (from her previous series) are, you are in for a treat!!! Imagine them entering a ballroom, four super hot dudes, in slow motion, like the damn Volturi, but like I said, super hot!!! They were there to raise hell!!!

    If this is your first read by this author, it can definitely be read as a stand-alone, and it will hopefully make you read the previous books surrounding some of the secondary characters from here.

    Santiago was everything that I wanted him to be!!! He is the smiling killer, hot as hell, but has no problem making you disappear should he feel like it. Briseis becomes a victim of her birth in a scene that was set up way before she was even conceived. However, she is not meek, and she doesn’t take anything without a fight. And she is very careful in how she chooses her battles too. Even though Santiago sees her as a means to an end when he first sets eyes on her, she becomes his everything, and he fights like hell for both of them to survive. She also makes the choice to accept his darkness, understanding the drive behind it. There were lots of funny scenes as well, not to mention the sexy ones!!! Those are probably the hottest ones I read from this author!! So good 🤭 Also, very special mention, Santiago’s pet. OMG. Go read this book!!

    I feel so bad for Santiago as far as his past. He really went through it and came home a different boy. Breisis also had a sad upbringing. Her mother died during childbirth. She was treated like crap in her father household.

    My only complaint is when she was attacked by her father’s men she didn’t fight back like she trained in any martial arts which was surprising since she learned martial arts to combat the abuse she received in her house.

    Andreas character really pisses me off. I wish he was killed off earlier in the story.

    Overall, it’s an okay book. There are scenes in the story which I felt was overshadowed. Like the last time Breisis was at her house. The events that took place should have had some emotional toll on Breisis, IMO.

    I been anticipating this book since I first met the four dark horseman’s and let me tell you the wait was sooooo worth it!!

    This book is everything and more that I been expecting. I seriously love this book!! I really understand why V.F. Mason had Santiago come out to play first!!! You will meet new characters that you will so love and definitely wish the worst on.

    I know we will get books on the rest of the four horseman, but V.F Mason I have some suggestions characters I would love books on lol 😂!! I be signing a petition for Santiago parents ohhhh they just the most epic couple!! I definitely need Santiago sister book!!

    FYI: Someone is soooo gonna be in trouble and I can’t wait to take out my popcorn 🍿 and see how it plays out!! Lol 😂 (You gonna have to read to know what I’m talking about) 😂!! (Sorry No Spoiler)

    But most importantly I want books on the next generation kids of all your dark romance books!!

    This will be one phenomenal series in the making!!

    Throughout the book I wished I was a character in order to slay every demon my two beautiful couple goes through in their life!!

    So go download Santiago’s book and get lost in one of the most emotional roller coaster 🎢 ride !

    This book kept me on the edge of my seat, heart in my throat, only to toss me to the ground in tears at the end. Holy Crap!

    While Briseis' life was rough, Santiago's story tore me to shreds. The tears were real and at times ugly. They were a match made in Heaven or was it Hell? You'll have to read it to see for yourself.

    I really loved how their histories were told using flashbacks. Sometimes, that's really distracting, but the author timed them perfectly within the book, and it flowed smooth as silk.

    Do Not Miss this book! It was so worth the anguish and tears! The ending was epic!

    I can't wait to read the rest of the Four Dark Horsemen's stories!!

    It's no secret I'm a sucker for a serial killer, stalker, psychopath, etc, and also for a damaged hero! Throw in a hero that chugs Tequila and I'm over the moon! V.F. Mason clicked all my boxes with this one.
    Forced into a marriage with a monster, Briseis struggles to make peace with the knowledge that her husband is a killer and other revelations that send her world spinning. From the early chapters of this book, these two set the pages on fire with their sexual chemistry, Santiago's filthy mouth, and their lust-fueled escapades. Have mercy! That library scene alone just about did me in!
    I loved every heartwrenching moment of this story. The friendships formed in innocence that stood the test of time, the bonds formed in fire and blood that remained on the fringes but stayed strong when it mattered, and the old relationships are torn in two by monsters seeking to destroy, I was never bored for a single minute. Santiago is definitely on top of my list of favorite characters. I wanted so much to wrap him up in a huge hug and never let anyone hurt him again.
    We also got intriguing looks into the three remaining dark horsemen and from the glimpses we were given, I cannot wait to see what's in store for them!

    Santiago was kidnapped whilst young and lived in a hell on earth. Briseis also had a horror of a young life with no one in her ' family ' treating her humanely. Santiago has an agenda when meeting Briseis that is to use her for her connections. Santiago rights wrongs with his 3 friends , this time though there is more at stake. Interesting read
