- Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2023This is the second book in the series. I accidentally read book 3 first, I'm blonde, what can I say? My advice is to read them in order because now it makes sense. There's a ton of action, love and violence. The violence might be a trigger for some but its almost necessary to have the right conclusion to the story line.
Emily is looking for her brother after their wicked father dies. In her search for Dane she runs into Salvatore who is also looking for Dane but for very different reasons. There's some conflict since Salvatore is a mobster but not a monster.
. This series is really good and I will probably read more. Give it a try, just read it in order. LOL.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2015Ooohhh, she's done it again. Kathleen Kelly has written another fantastic book that has me turning pages and wanting more, more, more! There was so much going on in this book that is hard to put it in review form. Read the blurb and other reviews if you must, but read the book.
Emily Reynolds, sister of our MC President, Dane, is coming into the picture in this one. She and Dane were separated as children and you learn why. Emily just lost her father and she's coming to tell Dane, to punish him and get answers. She left so suddenly, she didn't plan and during her trip, she wasn't thinking clearly. She is almost hurt but rescued and then is in an accident and hurt during her trip and is rescued by the same man.
Salvatore (Sal) Agostino, Captain in the Abruzzi crime family was the man that came to her rescue. He was on his was to Tourmaline to also see Dane. He's a ruthless business man who's as loyal and protective to his family and men as Dane is. Sal and Emily have an instant attraction.
Sal takes her to Tourmaline and the attraction grows. He is open and honest about his job with her and she's scared. Will their attraction and caring for each other grow? Sal hopes so but he still has to take care of business with Dane.
There are some major twists and turns in here that I don't want to elaborate on because I don't want to spoil anything but think about mafia stuff you've heard. There is some wild stuff that happens in this book, very suspenseful, scary, tears for me even, page turning, couldn't put down stuff that I loved. I love this series and can't wait for more. Great job Kathleen.

What happens when the President of the largest MC in the country comes up against one of the most powerful crime families in the country? Read Kathleen Kelly’s second book in the Savage Angels MC and find out! This is the unlikely love story of Emily Reynolds and Salvatore Agostino and not one you will want to miss!
Salvatore Agostino is Captain for the Abruzzi crime family and he has never been accused of being a nice man. His rise was fast and resented by some of the older members. Sal had fought his way to the top and even though he was considered young for his position, he was loyal to his family. So when he was told to do something by the head of the family, he did not hesitate. On the way to take care of business, he rescues an innocent young woman, not once but twice. This woman touches Sal’s heart in a way that no one ever has before. She needs a keeper, someone to protect her. He maybe a member of a crime family, but he does not harm women!
Emily has lived her entire life in an abusive home where her father abused and beat her mother. Her only protection had been her brother Dane and when their father kicked him out she was left alone. Now years later, Emily decides it is time to find Dane and let him know how she feels. Taking off from the hospital, where she had nursed their father until the end, she doesn’t think about what she is doing. On the way she is accosted at a rest room and is rescued by another man. Then she runs off the road and hits a tree! Once again the same man that saved her saves her again. Is this a coincidence? The feelings that her rescuer evokes are like none she has ever experienced before.
When Emily and Sal find out more about each other, is there a chance for them? Will their backgrounds destroy them or will they come out on the other side together? Kathleen Kelly has done it again with this intricately woven tale of love going against all odds and winning!

- Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2025I hate to ruin things for a reader so I never give away what happens but this book has everything.. so much heat and the characters work really well together. Can’t wait to read book #3. Happy I found Kathleen Kelly!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2024This story not only had Bikers but also mafia men. It also has mending of past relationships. Loved the romantic thread and happily ever after. Great read!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2015Book two has a bit more mc drama along with the mafia. This author is big on the couple meeting one day and in love the next. Wish she had spent more time letting them get to know each other. Also needed more Dane and Emily time. I do like Sal a lot, hope he and Emily are in the next book. One thing I enjoyed is reading more about other people in town. Would like to have more secondary storyline in the book series. Example, Jonas and Adelynn, more Truth and Amy. Ending was rushed, turned the page and the story was over.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super super wow 👌
Oh wow, joining the Mc and the Mafia together is the best twist to this series of books. Something you never expect to happen of these two completely different groups of men to join together and become an extended family of sorts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thank you for another terrific book!
The second book in this series did not a disappointment! I couldn't put it down!
It is easy to read, fast paced and full of excitement. The characters are complex Kathleen Kelly portrays them beautifully. Yum, Sal is certainly a book boyfriend to keep in your imagination.
I am looking forward to Savage Town where I hope we get to know a little more about Sal and Emily, either way knowing more about the Savage Angels will be a treat!

4.0 out of 5 stars great book but just would of like abit more of it.
I was so looking forward to this book after loveing the first book. it was a great book but it could of been just a little bit more. The book was fast with the romance side of things and i really liked that we still got alot from kat and dane just wanted more from emily and sal. i finished the book in a day and a half so for me i wanted a longer book to get stuck into. I do think the book was good but not as great as the first.
