Review
"So many twists, turns and surprises, it will have you on the edge of your seat." - Luv2Read.
"This book was hard to read in some parts, but the story had me glued and reading it all in one sitting. I couldn't put it down." - Amazon reviewer.
"It was dark, intense, and filled with suspense. Sometimes it felt like a movie script as I could easily see this being adapted as a dark thriller." - Amazon reviewer.
"I was hooked. I started reading it and I got totally pulled into the story that I lost complete track of time." - Amazeballs Book Addicts.
"I love the results when this author goes rogue and dark and far from her usual lighthearted reads." - Amazon reviewer.
"This story was amazing. Without giving anything away, all I can say is this book to me through a gamut of emotions. Have the tissues close as you will need them. I was hooked, I could not put this book down. This book was dark and intense. I really loved how Andie Long drew you in. I felt so vested in the characters, hating some, rooting for others. The author revealed these characters strengths and weakness like peeling back layers in an onion." - Amazon reviewer.
"I am often frustrated when a story is not what I think it is going to be. Towards the end of the first part, I thought I had the story all figured out, and was somewhat bored. Boy did I get it wrong. The only thing that I will give away about this fabulous story is that it starts at the end of Part I. This story is so well told. I think it is possibly one of the best books I have read in a long time." - FHB reads.
"Saviour is a fierce, forbidden yet astonishing novel that will have you running the full gamut of emotions as you search frantically for tissues to stop the tears running down your face. This is an extraordinary book that will stick with you long after the story ends." - PB loves to read.
"if you love a story that sets you on fire and fully invests you in the characters, this is the book for you. But be fully noted, some of it is dark and will pull at all of your emotions. It was the best combination of raw, edgy, and exceptional writing." - VernaLovesBooks.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2017I really like Andie's Ball Games series. It was super funny. I haven't read anything else by her until this one. Saviour is very different from the Ball Games. I was hooked. I started reading it and I got totally pulled into the story that I lost complete track of time. I loved the way this book was set up. It has four parts and is told in a few POVs.
Eden enjoys sex but isn't really looking for a relationship. She is looking for a better job when her best friend, Kara, tells her about a house PA job that may involve sex too. Before she goes for her interview for house PA she has a one night stand with Xavier. I kind of thought that would be the last we saw of him. Her new employers are Jack and Sienna. At first, I liked them a little bit but them they take a weird turn. Thing aren't always as they seem and Eden learns that pretty quickly. Xavier and Kara team up to help save Eden. I loved Kara, she really is a great friend. Xavier is a great guy too. He has had past that was not so good.
This one is has gritty parts but it also has nice sweet parts too. I really enjoyed reading this one.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2017I am a fan of Andie's "Balls Series", so I thought that I would give this book a try. It's very different from the "Balls" series. Those books are lighthearted and have a lot of humor, whereas this book is very dark and intense. This book is split into four parts. The first part was a bit dry and kind of hard to get into. However, by the second part of the story, I was hooked. It became fast-paced and never slowed down from there. I wanted to cry from heartbreak at times, and cheer with joy in other parts. The suspense and romance are amazing! Quite different from Andie's typical work, but still a good read!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2017This was the first book that I have read from Andie Long and I wasn't sure what to expect especially with such a dark and difficult subject, but it was refreshing to see an author tackle real life issues and include some of the steps that happens AFTER while trying to process everything and start on the road to recovery.
The story is about a confused college student, Eden, who is trying to find something that she feels like has always been missing. She has an estranged foster brother and a best friend, Kara, she made in college as the closest things to "family" so she has been trying to fill this void with empty one night stands she meets in a local dance club. One night she meets a man at the club, Xavier a local business owner with his own previous relationship issues, that she feels a real connection to and it scares her so much that after wards she runs but fortunately neither one can forget the other.
Eden later takes a job as a live in assistant with other potential duties to a professional couple and that is where the real issues start. I don't want to provide any information that would spoil that book for you so I will stop there. During the book Mrs. Long touched upon the subjects of abduction / kidnapping, rape and assault in a detailed way, but she did not shy away or gloss over the recovery time or the impact to Eden or those that love her, which makes this a must read.
I know people that have unfortunately been assaulted and the author's portrayal of what was required for recovery, although different for everyone, was eerily similar on some steps for dealing with panic attacks, etc. I found myself right back there a couple of times as I helped support them while reading this book until I got caught back up into the overall arcing romance story. Needless to say I recommend this book with the caveat that if you have been a victim of kidnapping, rape, assault or something similar, this book maybe a difficult read.
I received this book from the author for free in exchange for a voluntary and honest review.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2017Wow, this book was so different than what I normally read by Andie Long. I'm used to the witty humor that has me laughing for pages. This book was very dark and there are very explicit scenes that may bother some.
I thought Eden's story was one of rebuilding a life that has been torn down. I loved in the book how Xavier tells Eden that his mom says that life is what you write. If you don't like your story than you change the words. Have you ever heard anything more true than that? This book was a dark story and at the heart of it is a love story, but it's more about Eden going through something so tragic and dark and coming out on the other side of it and wanting to live her life. She doesn't simply want to exist, but to write her next chapter and live. Xavier patiently waits for her to move on and together they write their story.
This book was hard to read in some parts, but the story had me glued and reading it all in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. It was very well written. It was a great read.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for everyone
It was hard for me to read this book.
The first time I saw the index, the division in four parts and the titles of the four sections, I was expecting something different, my thoughts were oriented to Dante and his travel in the Divina Commedia. The travel theme is present in the introspective work that the characters do, and even though sometimes I found it a little too fast it was ok. What I couldn't stand were the facts. In my opinion they were absolutely unreal and abstract. I kept asking "why?" and "seriously?!" in the first part. I wasn't involved in the story because for me it was too unbelievable.
The feelings were well represented in the second part through the brutality of events, the choice of words, the anguish and the pace.
I didn't particularly like the end of the story and the meetings with the psychiatrist because I found them a little too conventional and there was nothing original.
Even Xavier was developed too fast and mainly through dialogues, I didn't like it.
The English and the style were ok as in all the works from Andie M. Long.

2.0 out of 5 stars Waiting for him.
I couldn't connect with the characters, and finished it waiting for something different. The plot was fantastic but the way the events happened was too fast and many loose ends weren't solve in an interesting way. Sorry, I don't like to give less than 3 stars in a review because I understand all the hard work that is after a story, but, definitely, this wasn't for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars A thrilling suspenseful read - not to be missed !!!!!!!
I loved this book, the writing was impeccable and the story kept me turning those pages to keep up with all that Andie was throwing at us. I have read a few of Andie's books before - her comedy ones, and I have always enjoyed her writing but this is so much more edgy, thrilling and full of suspense and just wonderful reading.
Eden Stark was bought up in foster care and not had the best of starts in life but being the determined feisty girl she is she gets through life on her emotions, Eden loves the thrill of casual sex and takes every opportunity to explore it - it is her release and she needs it often, so when the she hears through a friend that a couple are looking for a house PA with added extra benefits, Eden doesn't hesitate and jumps at the chance for a new experience. When they all disappear after a couple of months of working for them - at first her best friend Kara thinks they have taken her on holiday, but after weeks of not hearing from her Kara starts to worry and involves the police.
Xavier Harrington was the last one to see Eden alive apart form her employers, having had the pleasure of meeting Eden at a nightclub, he goes with Kara to the police to tell them everything he can remember - which isn't an awful lot, but for some reason he cannot get Eden out of his head; the connection he felt to Eden was like nothing he had felt before and even though it was just a one night stand the more he finds out about her the more he wants to find her.
Xavier has a past - a broken past and losing someone he really cared about pushes him to want to help Eden, even he doesn't quite understand why but he and Kara set out to do just that.
All the characters were wonderfully written and so easy to visualise and connect with and we are taken on a ride of intrigue and suspense that was in some places really intense and traumatic and dealt with problems that we don't always want to deal with, but I loved every minute of this twisted, exciting ride.
The story was also broken down into four parts as well which gave it lots of depth and separation to the events that occurred.
A really brilliant book to read and experience which I thoroughly recommend to read, oh and that cover - perfection !!!!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Read
I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is must read book and I would recommend this book to anyone. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely amazing, suspenseful read!
In a way this book reminded me somewhat of this authors first book, "The Alphabet Game". The reason being this had the mystery and suspense, just like that but there's where the similarities end. As similar as it was it was also different too. In the we meet Eden, and as angelic as her name is, she is the complete opposite which works against her. When she takes a job that she thinks is the best thing ever what she doesn't count on is that it could actually turn sour and be the complete opposite. In that respect she shows her niaveity.
We also have Xavier, who is basically Eden's last fling before everything goes wrong. He's not looking for more than what they had that one night but on seeing her again after he knows that something's not right. What follows is quite a twisted story.
What I loved about this was how we got it in four parts, for me it made the story feel that bit more realistic. Yes, the things Eden goes through aren't good. Yes, Xaviers past has left a permanent mark on him BUT they both realise that what's happened can't forge how there future is, all it means is that the road ahead, although at times may bumpy, isn't impassable. This was so well written, the characters were great and there were side characters who i'd really love to get to know more of too.
Overall an absolutely amazing read!
