    M. Robinson has been a great surprise for me since I read her first book. And while I loved the other 2 books in the series, this one is my favorite so far.

    We already knew from the previous book that Jax is a famous quarterback, the GOAT, and we know he’s had his fair share of women. If there's one thing I love about Monica's heroes is how they can be hugely protective and demanding, but also have redeeming qualities that make you fall for them. Jax was all of that, and everything about him made me go 'awww'.

    Sophie is the one who got away. He's broken her heart in the past, and she got even with him. However, the connection they share after all these years is too big for words, and there's a secret she's keeping from him that can change everything.

    When a scandal breaks out in Jax's life, Sophie is the only one who can help him. She knows she's risking her career, her lifestyle, and most of all, her heart by being close to him again. But some things just can’t be helped.

    This was a page-turner, and a wonderful second-chance story of two souls reaching out for each other. It wasn’t easy, and all the emotions really got to me. The fact that they could get over whatever life threw their way and make their way back to each other regardless, made it special.

    WOW! To be forthcoming, I wasn’t sure if I would like this book. The first 15% I was on the fence, and then WHAM, out of nowhere, I was sucked in and reading every chance I could. I stayed up late and neglected my schoolwork and my actual work. It has been a while since I have finished a book, and I wish I could go back in time to experience it all over again.

    Jax is a football quarterback who has had his fair share of ladies in and out of the bedroom. However, some have made him a traitor, and he needs fake marriage to change their opinion. Finding the person to fill this role didn’t come the way he thought it would, nor did he think it would come with a child.

    Sophie is a best-selling author who writes under a pen name. Having been told to either sign a contract to be fake married to Jax or expose the author she is. Sophie decides she should sign the contract and negotiate particular demands as well.

    Jax has the dirtiest bossiest mouth on him. There were times I had to fan myself, and there were times I wanted to smack him across his beautiful face. The writing M Robinson has with these two characters is truly breathtaking. I still want to be best friends with Sophie and, of course, get first dibs on her writing adventures and hear what stories she is plotting for the future.

    There were so many quotes in this book that spoke to me, and I could only dream of what a guy in real life would say to me. I must admit that Jax has officially topped my list of book boyfriends. Liam has been dethroned. After three years of being number one.

    It was very anticlimactic to me. For $5.99 I’m disappointed. I’m already hooked! But I forgot how Ms. M writes her stuff. She’s a brilliant story teller, I can see her very unique style but I wish there was more to the story. So I’m just sad all about it. I may or may not buy her books again. This was my second purchase. Good thing I didn’t buy her new release. I don’t want it to be final, maybe when I got tempted again? But for now, it’s a no for me.

    I didn't think I was going to like Jax, but boy did I change my mind. He was the most headstrong character I have read so far, and he could rival Christian in intensity. I really liked that even though he was not sure how to express his feelings he did his best to show them, even going to the extreme and lose everything.
    Sophie, I like she did not backed down from Jack's intensity and faced all challenges head on. The fact that she went after what she wanted and believed in made her even more lovable.
    I was a very good story and a total page-turner. I highly recommend it.

    The story of Sophie and Jax is absolutely fantastic, full of mystery and surprise with secrets upon secrets thrown into the mix.
    The style of writing in this book I really enjoyed the back and forth from what happened back in the day to present was great. It gave a proper full picture of what exactly went on.
    I love this full series. The group dynamics really work, and I totally can't wait to see what happens next with Caleb and Evie.

    This is the second of m Robinsons I’ve read and I’m so glad I discovered her. She makes reading so easy. Not once did I want to stop which made this book read within a day. I love the chemistry, the pure love and intensity these two felt for each other. I also loved the angst not knowing what kept them apart for all these years. The more I read the more I fell in love in love with Jax. He always had Sophie as a priority even when she didn’t realize it and that is a pure alpha in the best sort of way. The twists and turns kept me craving more and more until the massive explosion I did not see coming but M, that ending oh my god… I was screaming what the???? This is part of a series but you don’t need to read the others but why would you miss out on this talented author and the emotions she pulls out of you when reading this beautifully broken alpha males that love their soul mates with everything in them.

    I’m on secret kid/baby trope wave, I can’t get enough. I start seeing lots of people talking about this book and then I saw plenty of TikTok’s from the author and I knew I had to read this. Apart from this specific trope, we have also enemies to lovers, obviously second chance and “fake” marriage. Honestly there’s no way you can go wrong reading this book.

    I simply devoured Ajax and Sophie story. They met when they were teenagers, he was the famous quarterback at school with a trouble family and she was the maid daughter, who lived in the same property as him and goes to the same school. They couldn’t be more opposite, but they were like moths to a flame. They lived an incredible and possessive love but things suddenly went so south.

    Years later they met again and she is ready for revenge. Except, the joke was on her because she got pregnant and the same thing that drove them apart was right in her face again. Many years later (again) Jax, is a famous athlete and needs a fake wife so he could control a scandal. Listening, the motive for this was absurd and even though I know why he was angry that he found out he had a kid, he went completely wrong against Sophie. Seriously, I wanted to kick him in the face.

    But I can’t deny their chemistry, I could feel at every page and everything this family just worked in my eyes. They were so cute together and I couldn’t get enough of them. She thought the marriage was fake, but for him she was his forever. Many secrets were revealed and the angst was high, but this book was totally worth of my time. Now, I really want to read the other ones in this “series”.

Loved Sophie and Jax do I agree with the reasons that kept them apart or how they handled certain situations? No but then we wouldn’t have the angst that we crave so much. A great quick read ends in an HEA.
