    I'm completely obsessed with this series! Sloane (FMC) is sassy, playful, smart, sexy, hilarious, and deadly. A fabulous anti-hero that you want to root for, become, or befriend. Easily one of my favorite FMCs.

    Sloane and her mates go to visit shifter pack territory for the formal ascension of her and Briggs to their Supreme Alpha pack roles while also trying to suss out the rogue shifter and drug infiltration situation and the address the threats made by the shifter police visit at the end of the last book. The whole book occurs over like a weekend and A LOT happens, including some low key down time and plenty of fights with blood and death. And those fight scenes are glorious! Sloane is completely in her element when she's lethal, and while her guys are protective of her, I love that they also trust her and give her the space to do her thing.

    Normally, I'd have reader anxiety with OW drama, in this case in dealing with Briggs' exes, but in this instance, I knew my girl Sloane could more than handle it, and I found myself giddy in anticipation for Sloane to act possessive, a touch psycho, and drop some feline shifters. Sloane did not disappoint when it came to dealing with the exes. 😈 And I really liked how there was never any doubt or question about Sloane and her guys being on the same page.

    "I wasn’t just a pretty face; I was a ruthless protector, a restless mind with a savage spirit. I would destroy the world for them. And they needed to know that, above all, I was a possessive mate. No one was going to hurt them anymore. I would not allow it." [Sloane]

    Plenty of external conflict, but I was needing a read that didn't add internal conflict and this delivered. It's only been a few weeks and they are still getting to know each other and building their relationships. Sloane isn't one to have so many feelings, let alone talk about them, but she's trying. The guys have all known each other a lot longer, having that history together and more adept to each other. They fit so well together that sometimes they forget that they are still learning about each other. It makes it feel more realistic and relatable.

    The ending perfectly sets up the next book, Mage Massacres, which will have a focus on Palmer and I am so excited for it!

    I continue to love this world, the characters, and the pacing of the story. Still a lot of questions and mystery on what other adversaries they have yet to face to protect their family, loved ones, and to save others. And what other powers might Sloane and her mates gain as their bonds strengthen. This book also sets up additional story tracks in this world for secondary characters that are close friends with Sloane; not so much that it pulls away from the main story and characters but enough to grab my attention and get excited for their stories.

    Sloane is my girl, she strong and powerful, she has killer tendencies, but she is loyal and has moments of vulnerability... I mean what’s not to love!

    Watching her Adele develop her characters and grow as an author has been an absolute joy!

    For book 4 we get to see into the world of the shifters, but our view comes from a female alpha a freaking strong one at that! Sloane gets to put down some females that might have been ex’s! Mates are discovered (I just love that instant zing)!

    Start at book 1, but know that the journey is brilliant!

    I can't say enough how much I love these books. Sloane King is who I want to be when I grow up, and her harem finds new ways to make me laugh (read: snort-laugh) the more we get to know them. Shifter Situations contains some lovely development of a character we met in the last book, while leaving lots of room open for possibilities in future books. The author also added the date at the beginning of each chapter, which does wonders for helping me stay on track mentally while we follow Sloane and her guys around at breakneck speeds.

    As usual, Sloane and her guys accomplish a lot of business but when they take a break for a minute they really know how to have a good time. This is a series I know I will keep coming back for, and will continue reading and re-reading for many years to come.

    In this book we are headed to the packs. She has to deal with all of Briggs EX’s and other troubles. We see her grow and learn to expect her feeling or acknowledge she has them even tho they been together for a short period of time. But the more this story unfolds the questions I get on what really going on and if all of it connected or is it just a distraction from what’s really going on. I can’t wait for the next book to get more of the puzzle pieces of this story.

    Sloane and her guys are still trying to figure out whats going on and doing some killing along the way. 😉 What really makes a good book is when you don't only love the main characters and her guys but all the side characters as well. Jack, grim and the drake...I just can't get enough of there story as well.

    Can't wait to see what is figured out in the next book and who else we get to kill.
