This is a new author for me and I have to say I highly recommend this series. It's a great set of Rom-Come with great characters. I could happily read about them in more books!

This boxed set has the full Sin Bin series: a collection of terrific stories following a made family of Rugby players who are struggling with life off the field. We see their relationships with each other and follow the journey of each as they find their guy and fall in love. Each of these books alone is great; they are well-written, packed with emotion, multi-dimensional characters you will immediately attach to, and engaging storylines. Putting them together in a set encourages you to read them in sequence, one right after the other (although you can easily read them as standalones). Reading them as one long storyline amplifies everything that’s great about the books alone and you feel like you are on a long journey, encountering and experiencing each of these couples along the way as they come together to find their HEAs.

I will say that as an American, a British slang glossary at the beginning or end of the book would have come in handy because the use of slang is a bit heavy-handed. It doesn’t really detract from the stories but it does break up the pacing; it can be a bit disruptive when you have to pause to figure out what they’re saying before you continue on, or you don’t look it up and potentially miss some meaning. That being said, I nevertheless highly recommend the whole series, but particularly the Boxed Set because the experience is so much better when read this way.

This was my first time reading this author's work and I enjoyed her stories. Even though some MCs are former rugby players, the sport's mentions are minimal thank goodness. The characters were diverse and at times unorthodox. The steam level progressed from mild to high by the time the series ended. The angst levels varied depending on coupes in question but there was always a bit of trouble for every couple. While I enjoyed every book in a my own way, there was one point that made me like them less. The author had a tendency to tell about things rather than show them. Some of the events and relationship woes happened off page with the words like after two weeks, 3 months later and the like. I generally do not favor this way of storytelling, but the characters were so likable that I was able to overlook it. Another thing to note is that Ms Donovan successfully managed to turn the character around from a complete a$$hat to a sort of decent person without changing his core personality. I liked how she went about it as well. Overall, this was a good series to curl up in the evenings. Copy received for my honest and unbiased review.

This is the complete Sin Bin series with the exception of the prequel novel After the Scrum. All of the rest of the stories are here. There are some excellent characters and stories here!! These all center around a group of retired rugby players and their circle of friends. The title of the series is a reference to the penalty box (or sin bin) in rugby and the name of the queer friendly bar the guys all open together. All of these have some deep feelings and issues in them and these guys are all heart! Everyone gets their happy endings. I have read all of them but my favorite one is The Caretaker about Tens and Freddie. These two are also predominantly in Haka Ever After which is the story of their wedding. One thing I love about having all of these stories together is you get to see the growth of all of these guys throughout the whole set. This becomes especially true for the character Scottie who is obviously struggling from the beginning and then gets his own story and you understand him a lot better in The Unexpected Santa and The Lion Tamer. I highly recommend this set. Just a word of warning, there is some BDSM in a couple of these but it is not something that runs through all of the books. And it is well written. I love these guys!

I have been swept away and drawn into a special world of friendship and love and have found myself laughing and crying and loving every story contained in The Sin Bin series. Following the interconnected lives of a group of rugby players and former military men and their loves just draws you in and makes you an active participant in their lives. You get to discover their demons and fears and how that someone special makes it all worth it in the end. This series is highly recommended by me since it was that good and I dare you to say you got through it without any tears. A must read!

The Sin Bin Series Box Set by Dahlia Donovan is a collection of all seven novels in the Sin Bin series plus bonus shorts for further enjoyment of these characters and their lovestories. I was caught up in the beauty and drama of these men and those who make then fall as they figure out life and love There is emotion, angst, sweetness, humor and steam. I binge-read this collection, not wanting to put the books down... its absolutely amazing, beautiful and addictive. I most definitely recommend.

I went into the series rather blind, only noting that it was about rugby players. As a Texan and an American, rugby's a bit of a mystery other than the men are built like heavy machinery, which catches my interest. Turns out there's not a lot of rugby in these books, but there's plenty of emotion.

The first book takes the couple through cancer diagnosis and treatment, so if that's a rough thing for you to read, you'll have a hard time, and maybe with the second book, too, which is the oncology nurse from the first one. They're lovely, though, and the language is beautiful. I'm a huge fan of books written the way the locals speak - I have fun looking up terms and learning slang - and Welsh words!

I enjoyed the way the relationships built between the characters, and how there's enough sex to make it hot, but not too much for the topics covered. Definitely recommend!
