Sixth Street Love Affair (Three Rivers Ranch Romance™ Book 5) Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,532 ratings

In the heart of Texas, where the sunsets paint the sky with fiery passion, a rugged ranch foreman and a courageous veterinary technician find themselves entwined in a tale of second chances, faith, and unyielding love—even in the face of danger.

Garth Ahlstrom, a widower and the foreman at Three Rivers Ranch, is haunted by the memory of Juliette Thompson, the woman who once stole his heart only to break-up with him without telling him why. Desperate for answers, he seeks her out, praying for a chance to rekindle their lost romance.

Juliette, hiding from her abusive past, can't allow herself to trust again, especially not Garth, who was once linked to the very man she fears. But as fate draws them back together, Juliette is forced to confront her demons and face the truth when her work as a veterinary technician leads her straight back to Three Rivers Ranch…and Garth.

As they tend to the sick cattle under the blazing Texas sky, their hearts begin to mend, and Juliette bravely reveals her darkest secrets. Garth is determined to protect her at all costs, but only their faith and love can save them from the shadows of the past.

Can these two wounded souls discover that love and redemption are within reach, but if only they dare to take the leap of faith…together?

Loved, loved, loved this story. I have been reading all the books in this series, at least one a day because I can't put them down. I absolutely love all the cowboys and veterans in these books. They seem so real to me and the love that grows between everyone is something that warms my heart.
Liz's stories make me happy and I love how she ties everyone together and it just seems like a big, happy, loving family on the ranch.
The bonds are strong and genuine. I wish the series never has to end.
Looking forward to reading all of her books.
This actual story of Garth and Juliette is so sweet. Garth has experienced love and loss and it's nice that he's able to experience love again. Poor Juliette has experienced some trauma and it's sweet to see her learn to trust again and also to love.

It was a sweet romance, but the story didn't have the depth of most of her books. Garth and Juliette were great characters, but with only 74 pages it was more like a novella. This kindle book was $ 5.67, which I thought was to expensive for a short story. I love the author, I will just pick a different series.

Garth and Juliette both had past that were painful. Juliette's was so horrible and physically painful and mentally draining!!!! Bringing them together was a very difficult and heartwarming for them. Thankfully the stars aligned and love filled their lives and a future full of happiness resulted. Repetitive....your storytelling is marvelous and phenomenal and gripping to the end. Great reading!!!

I enjoy Liz Isaacson's style of writing. She has researched the topic, you will feel like you are there. The combination of cowboys and romance keep me coming back for the next book. It's nice to hear from the man's perspective as well as the women's thoughts in the book. But this one ended too soon.

Juliette and Garth are trying to dance around their feelings for one another only it doesn't seem to be working. When Garth takes another woman as his plus one to Tom and Rose's wedding in Bozeman, they are completely surprised that it's not Juliette. Then when Juliette shows up with blonde hair and wont remove her oversized sunglasses they are even more confused. When they get back to Three Rivers, Texas Garth has to wait for Juliette to get home, since she lingered at the airport to make sure Garth was gone before leaving, he asks what is going on and why she won't let him see her anymore. They both have secrets that they need to share to be able to move forward. What happens next will surprise you. However, not as much as what happens when Juliette goes home after taking care of cattle for five days! Liz Isaacson and Elana Johnson did an excellent job of writing this story! You wont want to put it down!

Sixth Street Love Affair is a sweet, clean love story about a cowboy and a woman with a troubled past. Juliette’s fear proves a formidable and believable obstacle in their relationship. The story is a Christian romance, though it isn’t overly religious.

This is part of a lovely series of second chance romances that starts with Second Chance Ranch. It’s fun to listen to them in order, but they also work fine on their own.

The narrator of the books does a nice job bringing them to life.

Juli Thornton goes buy the name Juliette Thompson sin e she has been on the run for the past ten years. She has been in Three Rivers for the last three years and been seeing Garth Ahlstrom until she found out he was a friend of Brad Thornton the winning bull rider who is her husband . He was abusive to her a few days after they were wed and she ran away after the last beating, he threatened to kill her if she ever tried to leave. She finally told Garth why she broke it off with him after he told her about his wife dying. Another good read from Liz Isaacson.

We see these characters and some of their story in Fifth Generation Cowboy, you might appreciate it all a little more if you read that book first. I anxiously awaited this book to see what happens between these characters. This may only be a novella, but the depth and breadth of it made it feel like a novel. Intense and real. I loved it.
