This is a wonderful book. Another gem from my TBR shelves! Alex is a rock star getting ready to go on tour, she's looking for an opening act. She's in the closet. Tyra was a star years ago, out and proud, now she's a record producer in Scotland. But she's also the drummer for her 2 cousins band Dandy Lions. When Alex sees a video of Dandy Lions playing a concert, she wants them for her opening act!
This is a beautiful story of love, trust, a homophoic moment, and fear and enduring love. 5 stars![

I enjoyed this story about two gifted musicians and their different journeys to fame and being out. The start of their romance feels natural with their musical collaboration. The storylines with family and friends feels real and adds to the depth of the main characters.

A wonderful, heartbreaking story of two very different people from different continents. Just when everything seemed so right, it all fell apart.
I couldn’t wait to see what happened next even when the story turned very dark. I would kindly ask for more stories like this.

This is a beautiful love story between 2 very different musicians. Tyra is older, out and proud, already had a public career and doesn't desire the spotlight anymore. Alex is current, at the top of her game professionally, but totally closeted. They end up collaborating on a Tour and sparks fly. But can they overcome their very huge differences? Their journey plus a cast of interesting extras makes for a great read!

So many books have been set in Scotland recently and I’m absolutely needing to see the shores for myself. Rocker chicks finding some time to reinvent and find themselves in a more embracing climate fall into one another for a sweet sapphic romp. Steamy scenes, an outing, a hate crime, angsty daughter dynamics, 3rd act breakup, and the cherry on top of an HEA. It’s a quick read but a cute one.

The characters were well developed and felt genuine. As the plot picked up, I did not want to put the book down. Love the mixture of ages of the characters and issues that they face.

It's been a while since I read a really good book. This is one and I found myself wanting to know more about the 2 main characters as their relationship progresses. It took a while to get there and shows what the LGBTQ+ community has to deal with even today. Too bad the epilogue didn't go further in telling us how the characters end up in their later years. Still, it deserved a 5 star rating.

I’m not sure that I can say it any better than a “cool fun romance set in the wild world of rock music”. The characters were all well developed, the book and story flowed nicely and there was the UK humour and charm that I love so much. Looking forward to the author’s next book.

A really well written and lovely story - blissfully lacking in the typos and mistakes you find in a lot of these books that detract from my enjoyment. Well worth a read, although be warned, pick a day when you have a few hours to read uninterrupted as once you start you won't want to stop! My only frustration was not knowing what some of the songs they covered on the road actually were! I'm assuming this is a debut for this author, as I can't find any other books, which only makes it even more impressive and makes me look forward to reading more of her work... hopefully in the near future 😊

Ty and Alex are so different and yet so similar to each other. I really loved reading about the two of them opening up to one another. My favourite was Mhari though. Such an amazing character!

i wish this had a trigger warning for certain traumatic event on the final third of the book, really wasn’t expecting it with how the tone of the story had felt so far and I was not comfortable. I still was able to enjoy it, but that left me a bitter taste.
