Amazing Book!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn't wait to finish all the chapters at once. This was one dark, twisted and romantic ride. But then again, that's how I like them. I'm a huge fan of werewolf stories and this one has everything in it. Dark creatures of night, hybrids, wolfs. In the world were vampires and werewolves are enemies hybrids are chased out and killed. Anna Santos is a great writer who demonstrates and portraits each character with its flows and ups and downs. You won't be able to put the book down as you start reading it. Soul Mate is insanely amazing story that hooked me up from the very beginning.A strongly written story that packs a punch. It's intense and gritty, it's definitely not for the faint of heart. Not to mention all the sexual tension you'll feel from characters before things start to get heated up. I am sure You won't regret paying for it.

    Most important: it shows you are strong even if you let people who love you to help you.
    That doesn't mean that female leading role is helpless princess, on the contrary, she is fighter.
    First time when i read this book on Wattpad i just had to read rest of Anna's work and i'm huge fan (even she cost me my finger nails i chewed while reading and waiting for updates :) )
    Anna's imagination and way with words will keep you entrapped until last page when you will realize there is no more and you will want more.
    Now after i bought this book i can enjoy Anna's work anytime and everywhere i want, until 2nd comes to amazon.

    This is a first time read for me by the author there were some really good parts but parts of this book were confusing the plot is good some of the characters didn't seem as mature as I would expect of really old Vampires and Werewolves but the story was still engaging. I would have liked the bad guys to have been more present in the story instead of just showing up in the last half of the book in and awkward way this is a continuing story so not everything gets resolved but the emportant parts get resolved Anna's brother her family and she dose get her Soul Mate even with there still being a huge cloud hanging over there heads in regards to Alaric and when he will strike next.

    Now about the story itself Anna for a tuff girl who fight sups she seems stuck in her head allot she's supposed to be looking for away to help her brother in Affinity the only place were sups and hybrid paranormal's seem to coexist she needs purebred from and Vampire to heal her brother but along the way she gets distracted by the local Shifter Shariff Shane who is really sweet and caring. Shane has some serious secrets thinks that his soul mate is human but Anna is a hybrid they both keeps things from each other and it leads to some upset. There passion for each other is intense if silly at times and Shane rushes Anna into a relationship but hes not and over the top Alpha. This book is good but the characters need more maturity otherwise I liked it.

    Soul Mate had a good story line, but the writing felt a tad unpolished in some places. In the sex scenes, especially-where the lack seemed most apparent-- there was a lack of distinction between the voices of the characters. Both characters referring to her private parts in their mind as "her intimacy" was simply weird. Through much of the book, the lack of PoV distinction made Shane sound as if he were submissive, rather than a more dominant figure you'd expect of the town sheriff. But, as I mentioned, the story itself was interesting, with some sub-plots easy to spot, and others a complete surprise. I admit, after a while, I paged over the sex scenes, but the overall story held my interest.

    Our heroine hunts vampires, trying to avenge her family. Our hero is the local sheriff, and a werewolf. They immediately butt heads, but is there attraction there as well?

    This is a new adult urban fantasy with vampires, werewolves and other supernatural creatures. As a new adult story, there are steamy scenes, but they are not over the top. The characters could use a little more development, as could the world setting, but then this is the first book in the series, so I would expect more of that to come. Overall, I found it to be enjoyable and a good start to an urban fantasy series.

    So I first came upon this book as a free ebook on Wattpad.
    At first I was a bit hesitant, because the title itself and the feeling of it sounded a lot like books that exist thousandfold with all the same plot and all the same boring, flat characters. Nonetheless I gave it a shot and I never regretted it.

    I'm quite glad to see it published, because I'm sure this book deserves it. I got interested in it because it's got a female strong lead - no, not a weak human who can't defend herself (yay) - and I wasn't disappointed. But more than strong, Annabel is realistic. She has worries and troubles, a person who has set herself on a certain path but can't help but rethink her possibilities and ideas as she gets confronted with more and more of the plot. And yes, there is a plot - another thing that doesn't seem to be a requirement for modern stories.

    I also like that Annabel is still humane after all that happened to her. Her heart isn't completely closed off and we as readers can see her change and mature throughout the series. All in all I'm really glad I've been able to read this book, both as its pre-published and finished up version. I'm also looking forwards to the next book in the series as well, if it gets published <3
