Southern Comfort: A Honky Tonk Angels Tale from Cotton Creek Kindle Edition
A man hiding from his past and a woman running from hers.
Two people from different worlds who know one another only from what they have shared with one another in Facebook messages. They've never heard the other's voice, or seen a photo. Analise Becke writes romance with western heroes, men she has dreamed up by combining the looks of her favorite western actor with the qualities she discovers in her online chats with the Texas rancher, Riley Morgan. She's cooked up more than a few fantasies about Riley over the last year, but knows them for what they are -- fantasies of a lonely woman whose marriage is falling apart. Riley looks forward to the online chats more than he is willing to admit but has never considered asking what she looks like. She's just an online friend. Yeah, they have a connection, but certainly not enough to even consider that a face-to-face meeting will spark anything other than a solidification of their friendship. Riley Morgan and Analise Becke are in for a big surprise - actually a series of surprises. Their lives are about to be turned upside down as passion and danger come to Cotton Creek, Texas. And they say nothing ever happens in Cotton Creek. Southern Comfort is the first book in Ciana's HONKY TONK ANGELS series. Come and meet the folks who call Cotton Creek home and bring their tales to Honky Tonk Angels in down-home fun with, good-old fashioned romances (with perhaps a bit of a twist)!

Book 1 in the Honky Tonk Angels Series
Ciana has a way of weaving a tale that leaves you spellbound. Sweet, funny, and a splash of Danger! Definitely a story you can get lost in.
Two people from different worlds who know one another only from what they have shared with one another in Facebook messages. They've never heard the other's voice, or seen a photo.
Riley Morgan and Analise Becke are in for a big surprise - actually a series of surprises. Their lives are about to be turned upside down as passion and danger come to Cotton Creek, Texas. And they say nothing ever happens in Cotton Creek.
Book 2 of the Honky Tonk Angels Series
Hold onto your hats – there's something new on the horizon for the folks in Cotton Creek. In Finding Justice, Ciana nails the "second chance" romance with heart, humor and hang-onto-your hat thrills. It doesn't get any better than this.
Justice Weathers isn't looking for love. Heck he runs from it. He might have a bit of running to do. Someone’s on her way to Cotton Creek and when she gets there she’s gonna stir up a whole lot of feelings he’s spent the last three years trying to forget. Yeah, that bit about nothing ever happening in Cotton Creek? So wrong.
Book 3 of the Honky Tonk Angels Series
Ms. Stone has certainly made Cotton Creek an exciting place with her fast-paced, hard to put down tales, and this one is no exception
Love was the last thing on Kyle Stader's mind. He'd found and lost that once and he wasn't about to ever let himself feel that kind of hurt again. He was content if not happy, his quiet bad boy alpha reputation provided him a steady supply of willing bed partners. He could live without love and the pain it caused. So, when Liz Redgate shows up in Cotton Creek, he might find himself interested, but it darn sure isn't going to go anywhere except maybe the bedroom.
Book 4 of the Honky Tonk Angels Series
Ciana Stone does it again. This is a truly enjoyable love story that will tug at your heartstrings.
His family and friends referred to him as a "rounder" because when it came to the ladies, Jayce (rhymes with Chase) Weathers, definitely gets around. He's the hot bad boy who knows how to give a woman a night of wild pleasure, some laughs and leaves them wanting more and chasing after him. Not that they're likely to catch him. Jayce isn't opposed to settling down, he just hasn't met the right woman -- if she even exists. He's starting to wonder. And then Billy Sweet shows up at the Honky Tonk Angels bar where Jayce is finishing the remodel on the top floor, and he has with him a woman and her two year old daughter. Callie and Lily Williams.
Callie brings out something in Jayce. Something besides passion and lust. He wants to be her hero.
Book 5 of the Honky Tonk Angels Series
Better than any night time drama!
Things have gotten downright smoldering in Cotton Creek. The oil boom has the town bursting at the seams, and has Cody and Hannah run ragged with the bar being packed every night. Leave it to their mama to come up with a solution. Stella talks ther nephew Cade to go to Cotton Creek and helphis cousins. He just sold a casino in Atlanta City and has no idea what he wants to do next. What were the odds that a month after he arrives, Roxie Ellis' 1957 T-bird would break down just outside of Cotton Creek and she'd be needing a job to make enough to affect repairs? Gambler's luck? Maybe. Whatever the case, sparks fly at first glance and before you can call red on a roulette wheel, Cade and Roxie are neck deep in what is surely the most erotic bet of their lives. The problem is, the bet becomes a whole lot more serious than either of them plan and soon Cade is Playing for Keeps.
Book 6 of the Honky Tonk Angels Series
The book you were waiting for and OMG was the wait worth it.
Hannah may have found her dream guy in Cooper Quinlan, and she's damned determine to plan the perfect wedding -- no matter who she drives crazy. Everything would be perfect if she could just ignore the little bursts of excitement she gets every time she sees Bryson Weathers. Cody isn't being much help. She doesn't give a hoot in hell about fancy dresses and weddings. What she does care about is the clandestine relationship she has with Jaxon Riggs. He's made no bones about the fact that he isn't looking for forever. She is, but if it's not in the cards then so be it. Riggs trips her switch and she's not about to pass up one moment with him, nor is she about to let anything prevent her from being with him.
Come share the joys and woes, the danger and the fun as we prove once more that the old saying "nothing ever happens in Cotton Creek" needs to be changed to "Looking for Trouble? You've come to the right place."
Book 7 of the Honky Tonk Angels Series
A second chance romance that will melt your heart.
She walked into my life when I was 17. Actually, I walked into hers. I applied for an after-school job at her photography studio. I fell for her at first glance. She was my first love. Actually, she was my first at a lot of things, and when she walked out on me, she broke my heart. I thought it had healed. Then I saw her again and as corny as it sounds, looking into her eyes was like coming home. The question is, can old hurts be forgotten, and can old love be rekindled? I don't know, but sure as hell hope it's possible.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 2, 2016This book was so fantastic!!! What a great story. It was filled with lots of action packed suspense that kept you hanging on the edge of your seat. It also included a great slow building romance between an unexpected older couple for a change, which I found very refreshing. I can't even tell you how this story played on the gamit of emotions, I didn't even think I had. I was laughing one minute, crying the next, then biting my nails in fear, and then suddenly cheering them all on. Oh...and did I mention how surprised I was when the author threw in that little Paranormal bit towards the end. I am so not into the paranormal stuff, but this....this was so fantastic. Not anything over the top kind of thing, just enough to make it interesting and believable. And of course the story ends with a wonderful HEA. What more could a reader ask for?
Loved so many things about the pairing of Riley and Annie. Annie was a strong woman, willing to fight for her rights. Riley...what can I say, he was the perfect hero in so many ways. I am so glad the author didn't pull the spoiled rotten little rich kid, when writing about Annie's son, David. In fact; I think I admire him for the way he acted. He was so level headed, and his only goal was to make sure his mother was happy. I loved the little "man to man" talks between him and Riley. I also loved all of the Sweet family, especially the tiny tornado that is Cody. She made me laugh all throughout the story.
I did feel a bit sorry for Rick in the end, though, and I didn't think I would. Seems he just got himself caught up in a bad situation, that wasn't totally of his own making, and yet.... he was the one put on the block as a sacrificial lamb. I don't know if he deserved what he got in the end, but he wasn't without his faults.
I would highly recommend this book to every!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2024Lots of action and some unexpected last minute surprises kept me glued to the pages with this one. Annalise was very even keeled but a little prone to tears. Riley seemed very true to life and their online friends to lovers story was well worth the read.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2015So far from this author I have read novels from her that lean toward the paranormal but this one is not in that category. This one is more contemporary with a touch of mystic towards the end. I like reading this author because you do not know what to expect and the characters are full bodied because of her writing skills. As I began to read this one I will be going back and forth between Analise and Riley. They have become internet friends building a great rapport for awhile. She writes novels and is married to a douche in as much she will soon rectify that. Their son in college is no longer at home so she sees traveling in her future. Ah said douche though is none to happy that she has taken half the money from him and made it to where he can not get at it. Wickedly sweet she is my kind of gal one who I would want as a friends. Anyways Riley now he lives on a ranch in Cotton Creek. Everyone is close and the people she has their are so vibrant you want to go there yourself. So she gets her a little RV and off she goes keeping in touch with her friend but not before she has been threatened by her so called husband. Riley in a moment of good interaction with her mentions that if she should come to the annual bbq cook-off in Oct. after she mentions she would love to hear him play one day. Boy oh boy that door is now wide open and she comes in with all the fanfare thanks to her RV. When she sees him she is also floored because of whom she sees him to be. I am telling you by now I am so immersed in this as if one of the cowboys there roped me in and tied me down. Humor will be interjected in all the right places in their relationship and coming from the colorful town people and friends. Little does she know until thanks to drama hitting front and center that danger has come calling with her in their sight. How this author handles this is the cement in your seat that you will not be going anywhere until you find out how this all plays out. She does not leave any elements out of this either because they will have heat, hot enough to have their own fire going. She will let you be privy in exactly how dirty the husband is and what he has gone to bed with, Now I also found Riley's friends so very intriguing the ones who are bringing the son and what follows from there. Last but not least the explosive ending will leave you bugged eyed but well satisfied more than any cat after a bowl of favorite cream. I will indeed look forward to more in this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2017An author and a cowboy. They've become close friends over Facebook over the last year, though never seen pictures of each other or heard each other's voice. Her soon to be ex-husband, unbeknownst to her, is deeply, literally and figuratively, in bed with the mob (though I can't help but wonder where she thought the millions in offshore accounts she took half of came from?)
There there's the cowboy's big secret, that is really only a secret to his author friend, that he's a former big name actor - one she has crushed on for years. He also plays in a local country band on occasion, which is what I am sure caught my attention to purchase this book.
It's not bad, but perhaps had a bit too much going on? Especially when you throw in a weird hint of supernatural/paranormal. I haven't written off the possibility of reading more of the series, but I am not completely sold at the moment. It all seemed a bit rushed and things came together a bit too easily, in a bit too strange of ways for my normal liking. But despite all that, I couldn't help but like quite a few of the characters.
I did catch quite a few errors another round of editing could fix. There are some sexual scenes, but nothing really graphic. Overall, I am still on the fence.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good read
with an all-round interesting story bringing in differing characters which rounds things nicely. The storyline is a unique blend of deep down good, bad, wholesome and corrupt and a touch of paranormal so light you could altogether miss it.
The only drawback for me was the unintentional wrong words, ie ‘foul’ instead of foal and a few more besides. Altogether worth the read and off to get the next !

4.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down!
A romantic thriller with a bit of paranormal thrown in. Analise, Annie, is divorcing her husband of 25 years, he's not happy to let her go as she's halved their assets, but his share wasn't his, it belongs to the mob.
She goes to Texas to meet her internet friend, Riley, who turns out to have a secret, it's a great first meeting.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good story with a few twists and turns
This story is mainly about 2 people who meet online and text back and forth for a year. Anna Lise's marriage is over, her son is at college so she decides to buy a small RV and go on a road trip. Riley has come back home to his roots in Cotton Creek to run a ranch and do some woodworking. Both have had bad experiences with marriage and are not looking for anything more than a friendship between them. Anna Lise decides to travel to Cotton Creek to meet up with Riley. Meanwhile, there are other forces at play that come to fruition in Cotton Creek. Good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this book❤️️
I saw Looking for Trouble in Ciana's newsletter and thought I'd get it, but Iike to start at the beginning of a series so bought this instead. So glad I did. Loved the suspense, the people of Cotton Creek and the love story between Riley and Annie was lovely. Can't wait to read the rest.
