Spencer Cohen is the guy who gets answers to relationship questions. Playing the role of the new lover, his job is to make his client’s ex realise one of two things: he doesn’t want to break up or he really does. Either way, his client gets answers. The ex would either apologize and beg, or turn and walk.

But in the end, Spencer’s client won. If he wanted his ex back and got him, it was great. If the guy walked away, then as hard it was for the client, he knew it was over. Regardless of the outcome, Spencer’s work was done.

Andrew Landon’s ex left him without so much as an explanation. But his sister can’t stand to see him miserable, so, much to Andrew’s dismay, they hire Spencer to be Andrew’s new boyfriend to get the ex back. For Spencer, it is never personal. Merely a business transaction. No emotions, no strings, no complications.

N.R. Walker is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance. She loves writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn't have it any other way.

    I Love this Book/Series.. Like Absolutely, totally, completely love these books.
    I've read this series like 3 times, And now that I have them all in Audio too, they are being added to my re-listen list as well.
    After reading these books the first time, I fell in love with Spencer and Andrew, and now after listening to this one in Audio, Joel Leslie has made me fall in love with them all over again.
    Nothing but Great things to say about this book and Narration. Seriously, if you are on the fence about this book or the Audio version at all.. Just get it!!!
    Joel does such a great job with all the voices in this audiobook, between Spencer's Aussie accent, and Andrews voice, and then some of their friends/family some with different accents as well. He has such a wide range for his voice, Joel just impresses me more every time I hear him talk.
    Now, This is the First Part of a Three book series. And while this book 1 doesn't necessarily end in a cliffhanger, (you can just read this one and be good) you will definitely want to read the next two books to get their entire full story.
    Spencer, is an Aussie who moved to the US/Los Angeles and now helps people try to fix their broken relationships, or at least figure out what went wrong. This job is perfect for Spencer, since it keeps him from getting too close and attached to others, there is no way he is putting his heart out there just to get broken again. He meets Andrew as a client. Andrew just wants to try and get back with his ex-boyfriend, hes not quite sure what happened and why he left. But, the more time they spend together, the more they realize they both want the same outcome. For Spencer and Andrew to be together instead. This book is so Cute and a great start to their story.

    Spencer and Andrew are both very intriguing. I loved Spencer's fascination and attraction to Andrew. He loved Andrew's ivy league geek exterior and then little by little other layers were revealed and Spencer's connection and attraction steadily grew. I also found Andrew fascinating. Dreamworks animator, pianist, shy at times, but confident and a bit bossy at other times. I admit I want to see if the bossy and confident side of Andrew carries over to the bedroom. Hoping it does ;)

    This is the first book in the series, and there wasn't sex, but that was okay. There was building attraction and tension and banter. Sexy comments that make you smile and laugh, and draw you in. Everything worked and I didn't miss anything. However, I am anxious for what's to come.

    I really felt the connection between Andrew and Spencer, they have a lot in common and they enjoy each other's company as well as extended friends and family. It was a very interesting cast that I think added a lot to the charm of their story. I smiled and probably laughed out loud a few times. Andrew's shy blushing moments and then segueing into some shocking comment and his random bossiness, totally did it for me. Spencer said something toward the beginning of the book about how it's always the quiet ones that are surprising. That might just be the case with Andrew once we get to see a bit more from him. It definitely shows promise though. The ending was great for me. Without giving spoilers I'll just say that I enjoyed the real emotion that Andrew saw from Spencer, it was touching.

    I'm anxious to spend a lot more time with these two guys. Very enjoyable. Spencer and Andrew are a great couple. :) Highly recommend.

    In book one, we meet Spencer when he is hired to be Andrew's pretend boyfriend so he can try to win his ex back. From the moment they meet you can see the attraction between them. They strike up an easy and playful friendship and have a tendency to forget why they are 'together'.

    Another very well written story by NR Walker! While I am not normally fond of 'serial' stories, I gave this one a chance because I love all her other books. While I did think the books were a little pricey, I thought the story was SO worth it.

    Spencer Cohen has a fabulous life, after moving from Australia to L.A., he has amazing friends as well. He’s hired by the sister of Andrew, looking to win back his ex Eli. Spencer has never had a problem with his job before or “falling” for his customers. But the minute he meets Andrew, he knows there’s something there. Has Spencer finally found the one?? The more time that Andrew and Spencer spend together, the more their attraction grows, but Spencer isn’t sure if Andrew is really into him, or if he’s playing it up for Eli’s benefit. And let me tell you that ending will leave you thirsty for more!!!

    I've had this book for a while now and for some reason I've been putting it off.

    Only reason I can think of is because I'm dumb.

    So Spencer moved from Australia to L.A. two years ago. He has a great group of friends and a job he loves.
    His job? Being a fake boyfriend. Helping his clients ex see what they've been missing to get a end result - the couple getting back together or ending for good.
    It's his job that brings Andrew Landon into the picture - still hung up on his ex after their abrupt ending, his sister pushes him towards Spencer and his services to get some answers.

    Andrew - OMG I love him so much. He is so freaking adorable. I hated that he self doubted so much but man, there was something endearing about it too. I loved seeing him slowly but surely coming out of his shell with Spencer and his surprising one liners or just the things he said that you really weren't expecting from him! Also loved his love for music and art. I just loved HIM!
    This is all told from Spencer's POV and while I'm a huge lover of dual POV I was actually, really ok with it here being told only from Spencer's POV but I definitely would have loved to get Andrew's a time or two.

    Now,Spencer. Like I mentioned above we get it from Spencer's POV,so I guess I may have connected with and loved Spencer a tad bit more. His tattoos,his witty sense of humour, his innuendos that made Andrew blush, his sarcasm and then the cracks starting to show his vulnerability beneath it all. GAH. So much love.

    These two are so incredibly cute. The humour between the two and learning things about each other. The fact that the reason the are actually in each other's lives melted away when they were together.
    The chemistry between them.
    The near touches.

    I totally have to mention Spencer's friends because they are awesome!! Especially Lola she had me cracking up!

    A wonderful introduction to the series. I really loved getting to know both guys and their instant attraction. Spencer captured my heart from the beginning, super cool, living in LA but still keeping his Aussie side. I love his patience and and the slow building burn with Andrew. It's going to have me on the edge of my seat to see where they go in the next book but I'm so thankful to the author that we won't have to wait too long. Original concept, lovable MC's and a great supporting cast, what's not to love.
