You can usually find me hollering for the whole Nashville Predators since I'll never give my heart to one player again. When I'm not in the gym getting swole, I'm usually writing, trying to make my dreams a reality or being a taxi for my kids. I'm obsessed with Harry Potter, Supernatural, Disney and anything that sparkles! I'm pretty sure I was Belle in a past life and if I could be on any show it would be supernatural so I can hunt with Sam and Dean.

It is a stand alone book, but with characters from all her other books. You will want to read about the other characters once you get into this one. I guarantee you won't regret picking up a Toni Aleo book. Once you do you will be hooked. Even if sports romance normally isn't your thing take a chance on these books! You will fall in love with ALL of them!

    I loved this book. Asher and Ally have been best friends their entire live, they both have secret feelings for each other that they don't won't to let out, Friends to lovers is absolutely one of all my time favorite troupes and the author didn't disappoint.

    You don't have to read the other books in the series if you don't want to, but if you're like me, you'll want to. Spike By Love ties into the Bellevue Bullies and the Assassins series, you get to see the Brooks and Tivot parents and their stories along with so many others that are mentioned in the book. I love everything about the sports romances that the author writes.

    Let me start by saying I love a friends to lovers story almost as much as a second chance romance. In Spiked By Love, Toni Aleo makes a return to the Assassins World in this next generation story set amidst her Bellevue Bullies backdrop. This time it's Allison Titov and Asher Brooks taking center stage. Ally and Asher are the best of friends, but when feelings get real can they see what everyone around them already see?

    From the go these two are thick as thieves and have been since childhood. They get each other in a way others just don't, and neither wants to admit their feelings even when the rest of the world scoffs at their adamant stance that they are 'just friends'. I am so happy that Toni told this story in dual pov, because the reader needs to see how much they both are fighting their feelings. I was yelling at the both of them reading this because they just needed to take the leap and act. But then Ally can't hold back anymore and Asher is stunned stupid. Asher's got some struggles with expressing his feelings, well really with owning his feelings; and he hates when others tell him how he feels. I thought this was just a good time of an angsty "I know what I feel and want, so get on the same page with me so we can be happy" story. And as always the supporting characters in our Assassins world were present and accounted for, bringing all the drama and hilarity that this fan loves!! Great job as always Toni!!

    Now...who's forever are we getting next?!

    If you are looking for something to read that will make you smile, send you on a roller coaster and end with an amazing ever after moment, this book is for you. Ally and Asher have a lot of obstacles to overcome, more than they even realize. After a traumatic event that takes Asher out character to defend Ally, they take things to a level more than friendship. Ally, having loved him as long as she can remember, sees the true Asher, and knows him better than anyone else. What she doesn't know is how well he hides certain parts of himself. She sees how he hides his pain, she thought it was due to the heartache of his last breakup but as their relationship progresses she realizes it is so much more. Asher is terrified to lose the person who means the most to him so he bottles up his feelings and tries to go with the flow and put off declarations of feelings as long as possible in fear of losing Ally forever. As Ally falls harder and harder for Asher she realizes she has to hold back her feelings in case they scare him away. When they get to a breaking point Ally decides she is worth the risk and lays it all out their, Asher has to come to terms with himself, his feelings and his emotions to get Ally to be his forever.

    Toni as always does a great job of explaining the characters emotions to where I just want to wrap them up in a hug and hold them. I love how old characters are intertwined and we get glimpses into potential future books as well as past members of the “family” that I have loved from the very first pages. I cannot wait for the next release from Toni as she never ceased to amaze me and make me fall in love each and every time.

    Toni does not disappoint in her newest addition to the Nashville Assissins world. The Bellevue Bullies series will always have a special place in my heart and this book is no exception. It has all the feels. Her characters are well developped, you fall in love with them and just rooting for them throughout the whole book . Gosh watching Asher and Allie story was hilarious and emotional falling in love with your best friend can be easy but finally fessing up to your feelings and having everyone try to put their two cents in is not. I love how we saw some of our favorite character as parents and the new generation is starting to make their mark and she leave you craving more of the story! Definitely worth the wait to read and now the waiting game for the next one begins.

But I have to say Asher & Allys story took me out of the current chaos that the world is going through and it was just what I needed.. so much so that I stopped reading for a little bit (like 2hrs) because I didn't want it to end.     I am never, ever disappointed by Toni's books.

    While both Asher and Allison come from hockey royalty families, hockey plays a small part in this book, just the Jumbotron makes an appearance!
    They have been best friends since childhood and now find that while they find they love each other, they don't want to confess it and spoil a good thing.
    Hidden affairs, unplanned pregnancies, assault, wedding planning... this book has it all.
