Star Brigade: Supremacy (SB3) Kindle Edition
A fractured world. Deadly extremists. A Galactic Union in peril.
For Captain Habraum Nwosu, Star Brigade’s latest mission sounded simple. Crush a tribe of barbaric extremists disrupting trade on the Union memberworld Faroor. But as soon as the operation begins, the full extent of this tribe’s destructive powers comes to light. Now Nwosu and his team find themselves battling an adversary far deadlier than imagined.
Mission failure means civil war between Faroor’s two species. And open conflict on any memberworld weakens an already beleaguered Galactic Union. Star Brigade must prevail at any costs. But will the cost of victory be too high for Nwosu and his team?
Meanwhile, shadowy forces view this conflict as an avenue to destabilize the Union completely, even if millions of lives are lost.
Star Brigade: The Supremacy marks the third installment in the Star Brigade sci-fi series. If you enjoy immersive military sci-fi adventures, then set your sights on C.C. Ekeke’s action-packed intergalactic saga. Pull the trigger and buy your copy today!

- Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2017Just finished the Star Brigrade trilogy. I started the first book last week, then when done, immediately bought the second book. As soon as I finished it, I had to buy the third one. Books 1 and 2 were great, but the third one seemed to spend a lot of time with a lot of descriptive fluff. Even so, I am looking forward to the next book due in 2017, and hoping it continues in the vein of the first two books. Really enjoying the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2017With The Supremacy, we return to the universe of Star Brigade at the beginning of a new story arc. With it come some changes in style and pacing; mainly for the better, though there is some trade-off. The "Maelstrom arc" (books 1&2 and the short story collection) had the burden of introducing us to a rich new world and a fairly large cast of characters; its a job it accomplished well, but could be overwhelming at times. Supremacy sets up a new foe and several new mysteries, but it has the luxury of inheriting established characters which it can continue to evolve. That also allows it to concentrate on the mission at hand, and to involve Combat Team 1 in some very cool action sequences and all-out battles. Having overcome some of the "growing pains" of the team's (re)formation during the first arc, we see a more confident CT1 really cut loose, which was a lot of fun. The trade of, however, is that compared to the trade-off the stakes are seemingly smaller; most of the action revolved around a Union member-world and its fate, rather than the direct attack on the capital that we got at the end of "Maelstrom". It makes for a tighter story overall, but isn't quite as "universe shaking". However, being the first part of a new arc, there are a lot of hints at shady background players who seem to regard the events of the book as minor moves in a much larger game; though the team doesn't realize it yet, I'd bet the seemingly provincial conflict of "The Supremacy" will have universe shattering ( or at least universe threatening) implications further along the line.
The SB characters themselves continue to evolve, and are well-written for the most part; though a couple of secondary characters are touched on only in action sequences, perhaps in favor of of spending a bit of time on the new (non SB) characters that are out points of view into the conflict that the Brigade has been called on to resolve.
The book does end on a cliffhanger, and as mentioned, some threads are left very much open; its obvious there is more to come. The Supremacy does give us a climactic encounter at the end though, which makes for a satisfying "step-off point" even as it sets up what comes next.
Overall, its another very solid entry into the Star Brigade saga. Bring on the next one!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2018The story a setting are great. I love the Maximums. The writing is really quite good, and the author includes many intersecting tidbits from life. Psychology, torture, racism, naturalism, parenting. But there are a couple of problems that should have been tightened up. If he had a skeptical editor. 1) The native's names and their species/factions are unpronounceable. This makes them blend together and you can't tell who is being talked about. By default, you key off the first letter of a name in those situations, but at least two key groups started with G. So I lost track of whether it was a race, or a group, and why it was important. 2) There was no reasoning behind the races and the powers. It felt like the author used dice or cards to create the characters randomly from traits. A little bit of reason would tighten things up a lot, and create more identity. As it is, I can't tell you which character can phase through walls. Or whether he's the guy that died. 3) The codename thing fell flat. It felt very forced. Why are codenames in battle any good? In the Air Force there is a specific reason, and it's not vanity. This further confused the characters. 4) The descriptions of clothing were very forced and out of place, like a fashion design review. Why give that level of detail without any reason? Describing Sam's hoodie made sense in context. But the kind of shoes someone wore to a party? Only if later it was a clue, or explained a fall. Otherwise, go lighter.
So. Good job. You have a future. Keep doing this. But find a Skeptic to push back on some of your ideas. It will keep the writing tighter. And remember, you are writing for us to read. We need to, and want to understand and follow you. Don't shock us out of the flow. We can suspend disbelief. If there's a reason.

Summary:
The Star Brigade team is about to embark on a new mission as Sam Nwosu's second is given her own team, CT 2, leaving a whole that is filled with a new member to the team. As new allies are formed, the mission is like none they have ever seen. On the surface, they are charged to take out a group of extremists who endanger the Faroor world and rescue the kidnapped son of the Ttaunz leader. On the surface that in itself would be difficult enough, but it is the hidden agendas of the individuals behind the scenes making a complex situation that much worse. The struggle between the indigenous people of Faroor with their religious convictions on one side and the Ttaunz who arrived after their world was destroyed was complicated by the arrival of Gheiig'onil, a religious zealot, who is determined to return their world Faroor to the Farooqua getting rid of all outsiders and darn the cost. As all the pieces come into play, it becomes obvious that this will be the most difficult battle they have ever faced as the new team must bond and stand together in spite of the odds. Add to this, Sam's struggle to create a cohesive team that lives up to the Star Brigade legacy while dealing with her questionable relationship with Habraum.
This was a fast paced and very intricate series leaving the reader waiting to see how it will all end up. I for one will be impatiently waiting to see what happens next.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read and worth buying
This book was the best read out of the three books. The story unfolded with excitement and intrigue at every level. The science was good but the main thing was the story line that remained strong throughout the book. I was unable to put this book down once I started reading it. The ending means that a further book is available soon so I will buy that to see how the story ends

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Ever
This was the best Star Brigade novel so far. I loved it, and stayed up two nights running to keep reading it. There was lots of adventure and cool new characters. Plus more depth to the characters we already know, like Tharyn. I am hanging out to find out what happens next now and can't wait for the next book to come out!
