Christmas has been Celia Dubois’s favorite time of year as long as she can remember. Two months earlier, banditos had burned the church and crushed the townspeople. Celia vows to return holiday joy to the town. Perhaps doing so might help mend her aching heart. Will Celia’s plan work magic on the town?

Rancher Eduardo Montoya knows Celia is the woman for him. She enchants him with her winning smile and vivacious nature. When her father warns Eduardo away from Celia, Eduardo is both angry and frustrated. After he stops a robbery in the mercantile, will Celia’s parents change their minds about him? Can handsome Eduardo heal Celia’s sorrow?

An absolutely charming story. When the spirit of Christmas is brought back to the town and the hearts of the residents, it warms the reader's soul. A beautifully written story about love and hope and all the emotions Christmas brings out in people. There is also a little excitement with a robbery and attempted kidnapping. A perfect Christmas story. Looking forward to reading the next Caroline Clemmons book!

I always love it when a new book comes out in a favorite series; it's so much fun to find out how previous characters are doing. In Stone Mountain Christmas we meet Celia Dubois, an old friend of Rosalyn Stone. Celia has moved to Radford Crossing, to live with her parents, after the death of her husband. When she feels that the town has lost it's spirit she determines to help bring it back for the Christmas holidays. It only takes the mention of it to Rosalyn and suddenly everyone wants to help. I know you will enjoy this book.

I read Stone Mountain Christmas: A Stone Mountain Christmas Novella (Men of Stone Mountain, Texas #3.6) by Caroline Clemmons as part of the Silver Belles and Stetsons anthology. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review.

This story takes place in Radford Crossing, Texas in November of 1874. After losing both her husband and unborn child in an accident, Celia Dubois has moved back in with her parents in Radford Crossing. Two months earlier, the townspeople had their church burned down by bandits. The town’s spirit has not recuperated and they are sorely lacking in Christmas spirit.

Celia’s marriage had been arranged. She did not love her husband but did care for him. She grieves the loss of a man so young but deeply grieves the loss of her child. Living with her parents is not easy as they are also grieving. Her parents own the local mercantile shop and Celia has begun to work for her father at the store. Even with so much sorrow, Celia is desperate for the townspeople to revive their holiday spirit so she hatches a plan for the community to come together and plan a series of Christmas events that is sure to get everyone in a festive mood.

Eduardo Montoya noticed Celia as soon as she moved to town and told his friend that he was going to marry her. He slowly begins to woo Celia but must also face the disapproval of her parents.

This is a sweet story of how one woman managed to bring the town together and revive the town’s Christmas spirit, making it turn out to be one of the most festive they’ve ever had. It also ends up to be a very special one for Celia as well.
