I found this series to be a fun summer time read, and it was a great way to be introduced to 5 of Hope Callaghan's series. I did not find it a problem to read a later book of a series as the author does an excellent job of filling in any seemingly missing information whether by a character list in the beginning of a story or as description given during a story. It is a great way for a reader to learn about the series and to see which one or ones might become favorites. For me, I already love the characters and stories of The Garden Girls and of The Cruise Ship Mysteries. I now know I want to read more of the Savannah series and the Devine Mystery Series. The other two were great stories but not as interesting for me personally. Each person likes different kinds of books, so this the perfect format for exploring the cozy mysteries by Hope Callaghan. Her writing is clean and well done and the characters are all different and fun to get to know. Add in the elements of mystery and fun and the reader is all set.
