In the five years since that moment she put everything into her career. Head of Cardio Thoracic Surgery at Forest Vale. A dating app her sister suggested for the too busy Dr. encouraging her to date bring her Sophia. Neither knows what the other does for work but they connected in a very sexually active spark. Once they finally talk and work comes into sight an end to a beautiful start must happen. A hospital Dr and a new intern can not love each other. Emily Hayes is a new author to me but I will be looking for her other books. My heart hear when Katherine lost Melissa. I admire the dedication she had but was so glad Sophia entered her world. I loved the connection you could feel so instantly between them. The dialogue was simple and touching. Such a fun read, beautiful love story and strong woman you just want to be happy. I loved this story.

    This story started out so good. The character of Katherine was written extremely well. You learn what type of surgeon she is, you learn how she meets her future wife and you learn how she loses her wife. All that you learn shapes who Katherine is. Under pressure she does the dating app thing. When she meets Sophia, they come to an understanding and a relationship is started. When events finds them both in a very gray area, they realize it needs to end. Now this is where it went down hill. Based on Katherine’s back story you can pretty much determine there is a large age gap which is also not addressed.They don’t discuss what their options could or should be. But they continue to run into each other and low and behold are once again involved. Now not only do they start to reveal themselves to the chance of people seeing them but they now start to have sex in the office. An intern and a top surgeon. First gossip, then Sophia tries to save Katherine’s job only to realize that the higher ups says it’s ok as long as they keep their relationship outside of the hospital so no one can hear them having sex again. So, I was disappointed in how this ended. There was so many better ways to wind this up for them to be together in love since that was what the writer was leading us to. Sort of was rushed. Strong characters but really weak ending.....

    I liked that the author introduced the main character, Dr. Katherine Ross and her mindset in the prologue, which sets the upcoming scenes in chapter one and so forth. I was excited to read how Dr. Ross and Sophia young woman she met in a dating app that had sex with was her intern at the hospital. I found it thrilling and exciting to read how the continued with the relationship for weeks before getting caught. I was little disappointed in the ending and that Dr. Ross age was never mentioned. Though it didn't change my opinion of this book and I was relieved read a continuation in book two. I'd recommend this book to everyone that loves an age gap romance.

    I loved the MC’s personalities. Can rely to the way they met after what had happened.
    But after that, I could figure out what would happen as it was predictable and it felt kinda rushed and too sweet in the end to be really true.
    The sexy scenes are well-written but there are too many typos.
