This was another good installment in a sweet (pun intended!) little series, and I always feel like the characters are old friends. The sisters were so lucky to have a friend in their life like Mr. Finch who went into partnership with Courtney. I love how they all had different interests and pursued those instead of just wondering if they could do it. The cats are awesome in how they can tell what a person is like.

I hadn't quite guessed whodunit. At first I was really sure, then the doubts came in, so I just read and enjoyed. The showdown was pretty nail biting, but that was the cool thing about having three other sisters. They always had a game plan and each others' backs. Hope to come back to Sweet Cove again soon!

Now this series is a true 'Cozy' genre one. The reader gets caught up in the loving and gentle family of four sisters, their adopted Mr. Fitch, and two cats. Normally, the series ends with a blast of action. Not this book number five.

The town of Sweet Cove is layered in deceit and lies, at least in the eldest sister, Angie's eyes. This book begins as the next page in the fourth novel "Sweet Secrets" ends with secrets still roaming the streets in Sweet Cove. As the Roseland sisters join Mr. Fitch, his realtor and Lady friend, Betty, along with Euclid and Circe, in a walk-through of the Colonial House, Angie feels a sense of dread thrumming in her blood. The feeling grows and yet, I was shocked as she suddenly pulls everyone out of the house and ends up calling the Police Chief Martin. I don't want to say what happens precisely as this scene really packs a wallop and gets the reader's heart rate up a bit!

Who would want to cause damage, loss of life, and destruction of neighboring homes? The house has been empty for two years. We learn the neighboring house, although occupied presently, also has been the location of murder in the distant past. Why? Is it a plot against the Roseland sisters whose property abuts the house Mr. Fitch is interested in purchasing or is the entire street cursed?

This series never disappoints me. I do love the soft gentleness, spiced with scenes of action. A great read!

J A Whiting is a wonderful author and writes my kinda books. Love all her series! This series has amazing cats, recipes, charming characters, an 18 room Victorian mansion, 4 sisters who like each other and live together quite compatibly, a mystery to solve (sometimes 2!), evil doers doing evil deeds, paranormal “gifts”, a sheriff who understands and appreciates the ladies’ “gifts”, blossoming romances (no sex), no graphic violence, and no cliffhanger endings. Great books to curl up in a comfy chair with a cozy blanket and a cup of tea and enjoy on a rainy day. I have the next one already on my “to be read” shelf. ENJOY!

I have been following this series since I discovered it and I love it! Book 4 provided bombs, murder and attacks without the gruesomeness that is sometimes all to visual. At the end of a day that has been stressful, it is a great way to settle down and relax. Sweet Cove brings mystery to the forefront but still does it in a way that isn't all blood and gore. It's nice to be able to relax and delve into the book to find out "Who Did It?" The characters continue to grow in each book. The sisters are starting to become more real and Mr. Finch is such an interesting character that he adds a little humor that makes this book a perfect end of a hard day read!

Angie, Jenna, Ellie, and Courtney are at it again! Trying to solve a 25 year old murder.

They all are at a house that Betty real estate agent is showing to Mr. Finch, guest of the B and B who wants to stay in Sweet Cove since he and Courtney have taken over his brother's candy shop!

While they all, are looking over the house, a bomb is found in the basement and all hell breaks out. The house is found out to be where a murder took place 25 years earlier. The son of the murder victim comes back to try to claim the house back from his mother! Who finds out died at a nursing home!

He asks the Roseland sisters to help find the person who killed his father 25 years ago. The sisters are not sure they can help with their powers if the murder was so long ago!

The story will keep you guessing until the end and the truth comes out.

Well written and I am on my way back to Sweet Cove for some other mysteries!

Super. The sisters are all settled but Mr Finch is on the lookout for a property for himself. However the latest viewing throws everyone off balance when the secret in the basement is revealed. Who was the target? Was this a one off or will the attempts continue? The paranormal abilities of the girls keeps developing and with the aid of their two feline protectors and Mr Finch they endeavour to get to the bottom of this latest mystery and see if the new attempted crime was linked to a cold case. Great plot that grips you and keeps you reading to the end. Wonderful characters and I love the way that the romantic attachments being formed are developing through the series..
