- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2016The Roseland Sisters and Mr. Finch are off on a new adventure with the aid of both cats, but the mystery has come to them! Having had a wonderful ski trip with boyfriend/girlfriend and all, the family returns to Sweet Cove, MA to find that Ellie has booked new Bed and Breakfast guests for that very night!
However, Angie, Jenna, Ellie , and Courtney are amazed (along with Mr. F and cats,) to have not one but three guests book in. One was not expected...a woman whose husband is missing. Our psychic sisters are getting unhappy feelings about their newest guest, not to mention why does another 'guest' have two I.D.'s?
Now, one mystery is fully explored and solved within this book. There is another that is solved from past books in this series...Yes! It is worth reading the earlier novels in order. They are all excellent.
It was exciting and a well-written book. Do get to know this author. She is a winner!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2016Winter is settling into Victorian home of the Rosemont Sisters. Just returning from a ski vacation with Mr. Finch, Miss Betty and the girls boyfriends, everyone wanted to just settle in with some warm soup and head to bed.
Door bell ringing announced three new quests; an older woman, Mrs. O'Brien, a heavy set traveler Mel Abel, and finally petite slender woman in her mid fourties, Cora Conners arrived. Angie's getting vibes that something was amiss especially when Jack Ford, their attorney friend showed up.
Seems Mrs. Conners had arranged prior to her arrival to meet that evening with Mr. Ford. After the meeting Ms. Conners shares with the girls that her husband Richard disappeared suddenly and wants the girls to help locate him.
The story-line continues with gathering information on Richard and a smaller story line of Jenna and Tom's new house and the past owner Katrina Stenmark. Ms. Stenmark was a friend of their Aunt Marion Linden who had left the Victorian to Angie when she passed away.
There are a few times when something is written that no mention of previous makes you think did I miss that, but otherwise the continuing story of the Rosemont Sisters, Mr. Finch and who can forget Euclid and Circe (the cats) is a great story. I would suggest to really understand all that has come before you begin with book 1.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2018Here is my next challenge: I bet you cannot solve this mystery! Every book reveals new characters that we hope to meet again. Enjoy staying up, because you won’t be able to put this book down until you have solved the mystery!

- Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2022I love the antics and adventures the Roseland sisters, their beaus, Euclid and Circe, and Mr. Finch get up to. - Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2018Mini-spoiler: How refreshing it is to read a cozy mystery without a murder. These books are simple and full of incidental events (such as game night and Mexican dinner night) with a little plot thrown in. They should be read in order. The first time reader will not fully understand some plot elements that build from one book to the next. Those who are reading them in order would find it tedious if the author recapped past happenings in each new book.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2022This series is full of charming characters, smart cat, evil doers doing evil deeds, Magick (not the stage magician kinda magic), mysteries to solve, a little romance (no sex), and no cliffhanger endings. So, curl up in a comfy chair with a cup of tea and ENJOY. I am looking forward to the next one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shows how easy it is to build a life of lies.
Great. A relaxing mini break has the girls coming back to a request from a new guest for help in finding her missing husband. The more the girls find out the more they are convinced that they are being fed lies and half truths. Can they, the cats and Mr Finch sort out the wheat from the chaff? Good plot that has obviously been researched and shows how easily it is to deceive others. The characters just kee getting better and the view of their lives outside of the investigation is worth reading by itself.
