Too Good To Be True: A Northwest Cozy Mystery (Northwest Cozy Mystery Series Book 25) Kindle Edition
In the luxurious corners of Bainbridge Island, a sinister shadow looms large, even as love appears to blossom. Suzie, the effervescent sous-chef at DeeDee's acclaimed restaurant, Deelish, is head over heels in love, certain she's found her soulmate. But as she revels in her newfound romance, a string of burglaries sends ripples of unease across the community.
Jake, DeeDee's astute husband and private investigator, finds himself grappling with a case that hits too close to home. The common thread? Every burglarized home had recently installed top-of-the-line security systems from a specific company — the very place Suzie's boyfriend is employed.
While he pleads innocence, Jake and his enigmatic partner, Al, whose past is intertwined with the Chicago underworld, devise a plan to ascertain the truth. As they delve deeper into the heart of the mystery, they're torn between suspicion and hope, with Suzie's happiness hanging precariously in the balance.
In a world where trust is fragile and secrets lurk behind every corner, can true love withstand the test? Join the beloved characters of the Northwest Cozy Mystery Series in this 21st tale of intrigue, love, and suspense, masterfully woven by a USA Today Bestselling Author.

Review
Someone has been breaking into homes and everything seems to be pointing to the security company who installed their new systems! Jake and Al have to talk to a lot of people before they finally figure it out. It will make you sad when you learn the truth--or angry possibly. But at least there is a happy ending for two of them!!

Thank you!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2022If you think that someone is too good to be true, then you don't know them as well as you think you do. Some people are very decent human beings, but they are not perfect. Of course, since this is a mystery, the person who seemed "too good to be true" had some serious problems. And the story of solving the mystery about them was interesting.
But if you are honest with yourself about your own faults, neither denying nor exaggerating them, you are more likely to get to know friends as they really are, and value them anyway. And if you accept who they really are, they are much more likely to accept you as you really are. And friendship without pretense can help both of you become better people, with less need to pretend to be someone that you are not.
It worked for most of the people in this story. Everyone except someone who seemed to be too good to be true.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2023I like the cozy mysteries except for one thing; trying to write incorrect grammar for police men, people who work in restaurants . And others.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2023It was well written and held my interest!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2022My favorite character--Al of Brooklyn mob origins, is in this one! Getting to the bottom of this mystery took some of his gruffness which occasionally comes out--but at least it works!! As does his big heart as he helps his wife with their newborn daughter!! You gotta love this guy!!

- Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2022I have always liked the Northwest cozy mysteries. I love the relationship between Jake and Al. Not only are they good friends but great business partners as well. I think Dianne Harman does relationships really well. But I really miss the interactions between Dee Dee and Jake with Cassie and Al. It's like between DeeDee's restaurant and Gemma, Cassie and Al's baby they lost the best part of the couple's relationship. It's a great book, well worth reading. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2022Another good reason to keep track of Dianne and her characters. I look forward to many more adventures with the characters and their experiences with all of the stories that are included these great reads.
