    Fighting fire with fire becomes a reality in this book. And boy does Tanner burn it down. He and Alexa are facing many challenges and Sarah Blake is in the picture and things are changing between them. And who is Mercer really? And then there is the Brotherhood; boy they are mean and terrible. This is a book that’s focusing with relationships and with suspense, fear, love, and lots of death. It’s a really good book.

The loss of the relationship between Tanner and Alexa was sad,because they seemed to fit. You got a feeling of the comfort both characters gave to on another. The fact that the writer gives us a hint of something between Tanner and Sara could be possible, well I think its too easy. I also think she's not fully over the whole revenge thing and what it cost her. Besides I think Tanners heart for right now needs to stay with Alexa.for now.

    This is pulp fiction at its finest. RK reminds me of Barry Eisler, who wrote one of the best assassin series and is one of my favorite authors. His John Rain character compares with Tanner. Any way,, pardon the off road commentary. This book is so action packed that it flies by. One of RK's strengths is to not leave the reader frustrated with a lack of satisfaction, if I might use that double entendre. Many authors don't appreciate the emotional toll they create and unless they provide sufficient retribution, well, let's just say something is missing and the thrill is gone. This never happens in RK's books, and that is saying something significant. Great book and I completely recommend it. If you read action and you're not reading this series, you offend me. I must demand satisfaction under the Dueling Oaks in City Park, New Orleans. I'm just saying...

    Tanner and Alexa set up house in Killbury. Mr. Kane gives a shout out to the author Mark Greaney whose character, Court Gentry, is known as The Gray Man. I chuckled when reading that Tanner lives on Gentry Court street. Anyone loving Tanner will also enjoy The Gray Man series.

    Mr. Kane hasn't had one miss and this was book 15! I suspect some readers are happy that Alexa has exited the scene as her whining to Cody about giving up being a Tanner was ridiculous and started becoming tiresome.

    Book 16 should be a blast as Tanner is on the hunt for an assassin who claims to be the world's best. Yeah, right!

    If you like fast paced reads then you will love Kane's books. I jut finished Fire with Fire(book 15 in the series) and it was as good as all of the previous books. Once you read the first Tanner novel you won't be able to ignore the rest of the series and the cost of the books will not break the bank. ENJOY! PS: Try the TAKEN series.
