I am a Leo. Born August 10, living on the east coast. I self-published my first novel, PNEUMA in 2014, and I have no regrets.

One of my many indulgences is fitting in time to read. My other happy place: having too much to write and not enough hands to type it out. Not enough brains to put the stories together fast enough. Not enough tea or coffee to keep me awake 24/7.

So, like every normal person, I have to take it one day at a time.

My cravings for sweets keep me going, any sort of cakes (especially red velvet), pies, cookies, and ice cream.

I have a cat named Bongo, who loves to get in my way when I'm trying to work but is too cute for me to fight him off.

And then I have my family, who puts up with my endless nights, my tapping of the keyboard, and my ridiculous imagination.

    I received an ARC for an honest review of this book. I will try to write this review without any spoilers!

    Another AMAZING book by Serena Kearney! As always this was one of those books that as soon as you started reading it it was hard to put down. Serena has a way with writing characters that you fall in love with and truly connect with. Serena Kearney also has a way of writing that you get totally absorbed into the book and forget all about those adulting things you have to do!

    Randa's story was good from the prologue all the way to the end. Randa and Rolfe have an instant connection but it is slow to take off which is really sweet especially given Randa's history. It was wonderful reading things from Randa's point of view. Randa has had an interesting upbringing to say the least and it has shaped her into who she is but this book is all about her changing and growing as a person. This book can be read as a stand alone, but all the characters from the past Scarred Bullet books are in it! As well as some new characters that you fall in love with! Rolfe is a wonderful addition to the scarred bullet family and I loved Ms Em and Mr P! I would highly recommend this book and anything written by Serena Kearney. I can't wait to see what come next!

    This is Book 4 of the Scarred Bullet Series and my first book by this author, and let me just say that I am pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the storyline, the characters and the author's writing style. Although interconnected, books in the series can be read as standalones. It is a captivating romance between former killer Randa/Rally and shy nerd Rolfe. Their strong connection is undeniable as they navigate the bumpy road to their forever after. These two likeable souls and the unconventional plot make for an intriguing read. Quite well written and sexy, it is a slow burn love story with drama, heartache, uncertainty, fear, passion, and love, plus engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. It is a solid read with heart, heat and a happy ending.

    I have not read the other books in the series but this one read fine as a standalone.

    The story follows Randa aka Rally after she makes a life in a small town while on the run. She previously lived the life of a killer and is trying to turn over a new leaf. Her friendship with Mams and Pap is heartwarming. And her relationship with Rolfe is great. You see Rally start to shed her armor and become more human in this book.

    The storyline is interesting, the characters are well written, and there is a great balance of humor and seriousness. I was pulled i to this story and couldn't put it down. I read it in one sitting. Great book! Check it out!

    This is part of a series of interconnected books but this can be read as a standalone and there is no cliffhanger.

    I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy.

    This is the forth book in the Scarred Bullet series but it can be read as a standalone. It follows Randa as she becomes Ralley. She is hiding in a small town with an older couple. It's where she becomes a kinder, more thoughtful person, leaving her killer self behind. She meets and helps Rolfe in a funny and interesting point of view, hers. I was given this book by Hidden Gems for an honest and freely given review.

    A well written sexy and addicting storyline that is wriiten from Randa's POV. An intriguing rollercoaster ride of a young woman killer who is hiding in small town with older couple as she slowly turns her life around. Its full of drama, heartache, uncertainty, fear, passion, and love with a slow burn romance. It includes engaging secondary characters, cameoes from previous characters and some new ones to keep the reader interested. This unconventional plot made for an intriguing read that is sexy with many twists and turns including heart, heat and a happy ending.

    I didnt read the previous books in the series but this reads great as a stand alone.

    Rally left her crazy "mob like" family behind to make a better life for herself and start over. She meets Rolfe, who she starts to have feelings for but nothing but friendship happens between them. As the story goes on you can feel the electricity build up. The story is a bit slow but it all comes together in the end and I loved it.

    I received a copy of this arc for my honest review.

    All I can say is WOW. I am honestly stunned speechless. I wasn't sure what to expect from this book when I started reading it and it sucked me right in. I couldn't put it down. I didn't want to put it down. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. I didn't know what to expect. I kept looking behind MY back. This story was very, very well written and had a part of the book (no spoiler alerts here), where I was like, I did NOT see that one coming. Completely not what I expected in the storyline for whom the love interest would turn out to be. Definitely a page turner and definitely a must read.

    The prologue only makes sense if you have read the other books but the rest of it can be read as a stand-alone and it's an intriguing rollercoaster ride of a young woman who thinks she's toxic and still manages to turn her whole life around. But then her past comes back to haunt her and love is thrown in the mix and everything goes topsy-turvy and I read breathlessly and more than once crying page after page, not being able to put the book down until I finished it. And I'd love to read more about them all!
