A second chance romance

    The final instalment of the Domville and cue my sad face. As we return to one of the most hated characters of this series, Camilla Domville (Cam) we prepare to hate her some more. Seeing her diva antics on her 30th birthday, she wasn't expecting her father to finally stand up to her.

    The present he would give her would be a life changer. One that would strip her of not only her addictions, but her money and lifestyle to boot! But the woman she becomes, is one we can only admire. Her strength, even when she remembers her time with the one and only Logan...she seems to get all her ducks in a row. Making her apologies, meeting him to find closure, and finding her feet without the financial backing of her father. Mr Domville. The one and only.

    Excerpt:
    ...surely it was better to live with rejection than to always wonder what might have been?

    She didn't ever think she would find a man to live up to Logan. And well...I think most women would. He broke many fictional fantasies for us women! But the she does find someone, but would he be all she imagined?

    As she learns of her potential future, two years after sorting herself out, with the respect of her father regained and a steady footing with her career, she really does learn the true meaning of life. Not in parties or bribery, but love. She really does come through in the end and I'm so happy to say the series left on me on a happier note with her.

    Final Excerpt:
    "I don't think I've ever been more proud of you for fighting your corner and standing up for yourself, instead of taking the easy way out, princess..."

    A brilliant conclusion to the Domville series that just neatly wrapped all the stories up brilliantly. Five star read.

    I received the ARC of Donville 8 for free in exchange for an honest review.... And wow what a book !! This is the last of the Domville series and I am so not happy! The theme of this book… Can you teach an old dog new tricks ? Or... Can a leopard change it's spots ? With this book the most hated of the series returns...Camilla Domville (Cam). I just didn't know that it would be possible for me to hate her more !! This time we see her at her 30th birthday with new havoc being reeked around her . I just don't think she was expecting that her father would finally stand up and be a man and go against her !! She is given a present by her father that can only be labeled as life altering… And because of this gift all of her past sins and addictions are removed and we are given a glimpse of a new and improved Cam.... A person that I almost found myself admiring! There's an intervention...18 months of rehab...and then she begins trying to get her life in order...making self-changes, making apologies, asking for forgiveness, meeting granting closure, and finding her own feet financially, apart from her father Mr. Domville. I found myself actually liking her by the end of the story… Shocking I know! This book as of all of CJ's books is filled with moments of disgust, anger, angst, drama, lots and lots of heat, and of course love.
    I am so add that this series is coming to an end! I have loved each and every drama-filled moment! If you haven't read this series yet... Then you absolutely must read it!!! CJ is a heckuva writer and you won't regret it!!!

    A perfect conclusion to The Domville series! And very fitting to end centered around the Domville family. LOVED that!!! To be honest I was a tad leery when I realized this book was focused on Camilla Domville. If you've read Fallowfield's For the Night series, you've no doubt met this spoiled, pretentious little sh*t in the Strangers for the Night installment. With all that being said I finished this book in absolute and complete awe of Camilla's character *gasp* IKR!?!?

    With some tough love from her father on her milestone thirtieth birthday, Cami is whisked away on an 18th month long stint at rehab.

    "Maybe if I found the courage to kill myself, I'd finally get to meet my mother. I could live a different life and be a different me, one she'd be proud of. Yes, why fight, why go through it all, with nothing waiting for me at the end? No mother, a father who despised me, the love of my life married with kids? A life where I had to throw up every meal I ate to keep this figure in case the press eviscerated me. I may as well not be alive."

    Returning to the real world, she's welcomed back with some harsh realities. Serves her spoiled ass right! With new rules and expectations in place she's out to show them all she's a changed girl woman. And she truly is! I'm just shocked at how much I love her now!! She's still stubborn and stands up for what she believes in, but it's for the greater good.

    As always, Fallowfield produces an epic tale that packs a punch with much detail, substance, lessons learned and lots of sexxxy times! Always sexxxy times! *siiiigh* LOVED THIS ONE!!!!
