I want to preface this to say I absolutely do not read love triangles knowingly! I REFUSE to read them. I’m always disappointed so I’m trying to remain Switzerland even though I am rooting for a certain someone. But I’m really trying not to get invested lol! So why am I reading this one you might ask? Because I absolutely loved the Truth and Dare Duet and then when Dare to Love came out with the extended epilogue that follows Maddox and Lila where we see the future with Riley we are never outright told who she was with. So of course I need to know because there’s a whole backstory that was missing when we saw Riley in those books so I have to know. I’m that invested. Which is why my rating of the book will not be rated lower because of the genre or the outcome! I knew what I was reading when I started it!
The way this book was written with the details was worth it’s 5 stars to me! I felt every negative feeling each character was going through.
This book has the past while they are in high school where we get the backstory of their upbringings. It gives us so much to learn that will inevitably bring us to the end of this trilogy.
Riley life was full of torment. Her parents suck and they demand she does whatever they tell her to and live up to their high society standards. While she tries to always keep her head high she is dying inside and dealing with so many issues. This book we see her from age 16-21 like we do with Grayson and Colton.
Colton has his own crappy father and with his dad pretty much telling him is nothing more than a piece of sh!t!
Grayson in the beginning we see starting out in his trailer taking care of his 4 year old sister cause there mom is essentially a drunk. His mom suddenly dies and his sister gets adopted and they are separated….
There is so much to unload to even try and break everything down in this book.
Just know it’s filled with torment for all parties included. Some of it is just gut wrenching of what is happening.
While some of it sort of goes away once they are in college it doesn’t mean anything is over. There is still so much that we are all going to go through.
I loved that we still got so many glimpses of Maddox and Lila from different views as well during their time. On that note this cliffhanger was not something I was expecting… but here we are and I will now wait until the next one comes out.

Oh lylah! She really did us all a favor and wrote this book for us 😭 🤧 😩 💕 I can't believe I read this all in one sitting much alone 6hrs straight 😳. I wanted to know more about Riley from the start when she was introduced in do u dare. I've always loved Colton and yes I'm rooting for him! The angst and just all around mess between these two ugh I need more. You hear me lylah.! I need it. When I say run to this right now don't wait. Read this book. The angst ugh u will love it. I can admit Grayson was a bit of a surprise but I still love my choice and that's Colton Bennett. ! I'm needing some 🌞 sunshine for my Colton. 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.
