I also am disappointed that things were left unfinished. The taint from Lothinal was left a mystery as well as why exactly was the weakening of the Flame.I had expected to find out hat the relics of average dragons were to be the power sent to the flame to strengthen it and maybe kept the taint at bay.The dark magic and damage done to Lothinal was undefined and unresolved.

Maybe a better editor is needed. It was so obvious the story didn't deserve five books. Drop the repetitive writing and make a trilogy. 😞

Many of the fantasy and other world / dragon series contain too many books and I get a bit tired toward the last couple and often do not read them.     TheDragon Thief series was not like that. It Heldon tight to my imagination to the last word of the 5th and last book.
