The Humbug Holiday: M/M Age-Gap Holiday Romance Kindle Edition
Two grumpy bears and a holiday season neither will forget…
Joe
So this sexy silver fox rolls into my small New England town and buys a run-down old house in need of renovation. That’s where I come in. My job is to do some basic repairs, so he can write in peace. Yep, the hotshot is a bestselling author, but that’s not why I recognize Cameron Warren.
No worries, I won’t let a one-night stand make things awkward. I could use the work, but is he seriously asking me to help him buy a Christmas tree too?
No way.
Cameron
I’m a good-natured guy all year long, but I have to admit…I hate the holidays.
There. I said it.
This season, I’m hiding away on the opposite side of the country in a picturesque village. My family isn’t excited about my decision, and the only way to assure them I’m fine is to deck the darn halls. Or hire someone else to do it.
The handyman might not be the logical choice for an elf, but his grumpy act makes me smile. Which makes me think the holidays might not be so “bah-humbug” this year after all.
The Humbug Holiday is a bisexual, age-gap romance featuring two grumpy bears who find unexpected magic and learn to embrace everyone’s favorite time of year!

Give Me Grumps!
Give me all the grumps with squishy centers, please and thanks.
Joe & Cam are both Scroogey, neither wanting much to to with holidays but both being roped into participating in minimal cheer.
Cam is a broody author, Joe an equally broody handyman and these two finding their way past each other's tough candy shell was a sweet, warm, loving journey.
Love the small town aspect and the story was pretty low angst, a perfect read for a cold winter's day! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-Amazon Reviewer

Nothing says true love like bonding over Christmas cheer avoidance.
Two grumpy men forced to decorate for Christmas makes for some fabulous sarcastic festive banter. The chemistry here is hot and spicy. I highly recommend this story if you want to laugh, smile and enjoy! -Amazon Reviewer

It's incredibly hot, very sweet, highly emotional and has a subtle humour that stops things becoming cloying.
Perfect for a festive romance and while it's a standalone at this time, I'd love to see more in this setting. -Goodreads Reviewer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love, love, love that both of these characters were grumpy! -Goodreads Reviewer
They're both grumpy. It's perfect. The end. *****

About the author

Lane Hayes lives in sunny Southern California with her amazing husband, who thankfully doesn’t mind cooking, and their fabulous fox red Labrador, George, who’s pure mischief. Both provide oodles of inspiration for the low-angst, humorous books Lane loves to write.
She’s been telling stories about sexy, funny, sometimes geeky and quirky men who find love for a dozen years now and loving every minute. In her previous life, she sat at a desk and dealt with numbers, so yes…romance is much more satisfying!
Lane loves tea, travel, and chocolate…in any order. Add a book and she’s set!

- Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2022I enjoyed this grumpy/grumpy romance with two mature MCs. Joe and Cam both had things in their past that had them bitter around the holidays. As they spend time together they slowly start to open up and let each other in. I really liked how their connection and relationship just happened and evolved as they spent time together and they both didn't even realize how perfect they were for each other! This was the perfect combination of sweet and lots of heat! I adored the townsfolk and Cam's Aunts, and Joe's mom. If you're looking for a feel good, holiday romance to put a smile on your face, you'll enjoy this book!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2022This book was a delight! It’s a perfect Christmas romance set in gorgeous New England with a twist. You have two slightly grumpy men who try to hide their hurt behind a disdain of the season. Of course they find each other and fall in love with each other and Christmas. Lane Hayes has done it again. Do yourself a favor and read immediately!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2022There were a lot of laugh out loud moments. A good story about two cynics who detest the holidays for their own reasons get to know each other and end up falling in love. I think it would have been better for me if there was a different audiobook narrator. He would speed up on the spicy scenes like he was announcing a sports event. I also think the big climax where something big is bound to happen was a little lackluster and yet over dramatic.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2022These two had holiday spirit, they just needed to be together to feel it. They were open and honest with each other, not getting bogged down with relationship things. I think they fell in love before knowing where they were headed. Really enjoyed this short!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2022Cam and Joe’s humbug finds humbug story was both sweet and sexy! I adored the Vermont setting, and the idyllic hometown a Christmas feel it evoked. I enjoyed how these two first met on a one night stand months prior, and found themselves thrust back into each other’s orbit. These two each had their own reasons for avoiding the Christmas spirit, and they grew closer because of it. It was sweet seeing these two getting to know each other more, and those sexy times! Holy hotness, their chemistry was fantastic! This was a fun, sweet and steamy holiday read to add to your list!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2022I loved this book!! Joe and Cam were both hurting from the past and felt undeserving of love! But together, they found they were deserving and with the magic of Christmas, also found love! This book will definitely be on my holiday re-read list!!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2022Joe and Cam weren't grinches because their hearts were small, but because they were bruised. I enjoyed watching them bring out the holiday cheer in each other. It all started with a tree and ended with unexpected happiness.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Tale
Introducing two of the most frustrating men I've read! Both gorgeous but also stubborn and set in their own grumpy ways. Joe has a disastrous past that has trying to move on from, Cameron is a well known author, both absolutely hate Christmas. And that, ladies and gentlemen is what gives us this fun filled, bitching, sexy tale. Things mellow a little as they start a business arrangement, that morphs into a friendship, well, a friends with benefits thing, you can't help but root for them. An absolutely wonderful Christmas story, akin with Scrooge's tale, sans the ghosts that is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely read
I really enjoyed this 'feel good' book. The characters were great and the storyline was interesting, I would have loved for it to have been a little longer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute!
Cute short story that kept me entertained. I liked the fact that both MCs hated Christmas season as opposed to the typical grumpy/sunshine thing.
