About the author

Born in South Wales, Lee Allen was an avid reader from a young age, already beginning to develop his fascination with mystery, intrigue, crime, horror and the supernatural. He soon turned to creating his own stories and hasn’t stopped writing since. He completed the manuscript for his first full-length novel while still in secondary school, which was later published as his debut crime thriller "Those Crimes of Passion" in 2012.
Heavily influenced by gothic fiction, he later released supernatural mystery "Alone" (2014); horror chiller "The Jack O’Lantern Men" (2015); short story collection "Whispers from the Dead of Night" (2020), a hybrid of horror and multiple sub-genres; and erotic horror crime thriller "Bitten" (2021).
Lee continues to reside in Wales with his feline writing companion, immersing himself in imagination and research.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2023An excellent thriller. I was shocked, horrified in some spots, and exhilarated. Such a good page turner!.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2024This was a short book that was an eerie mystery good for a night during the Halloween season. Or, if you’re just into horror and need a quick change of pace, this is it. I found this to be a great palette cleanser from the regular novels and there were elements that reminded me of shows like The Twilight Zones and the X-Files. The pace was good, not too quick but steady. It does seem brief, but it’s to the point to tell the story. I wasn’t disappointed at all. It definitely kept me guessing as I kept going.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2024This was a very strange book, but I liked it. It was defiantly a good book to read during the spooky Halloween season. This was an easy and quick read. I was intrigued by the Jack O’ Lantern men and needed to find out more about them. This is a story about Frank who set to be hanged for the murder of his daughter’s boyfriend. Frank believes these men have taken his oldest daughter and killed his wife. Has Frank gone insane or are the Jack O’ Lantern men real? Highly recommend!
