    Rebecca has worked hard to get where she is in her career and her next goal is the weekend anchor job but fate is conspiring against her. At 28 she is being considered over the hill, she is curvy rather than model thin and it doesn’t matter how many silly assignments she takes it is not helping.

    Cade was enjoying his NFL football career until a knee injury put an end to that dream. He believed that the nightly sports anchor position allowed him to stay in football and besides with his sexy looks and outgoing personality it was a natural fit.

    Cade and Rebecca are opposites but the sparks they strike off in each other are electric. A few drinks too many one night and those sparks start a fire but Rebecca doesn’t want it to damage her career so she wants it be a one night stand and Cade has decided it will be one night at a time.

    I loved the humor and banter between the two and their chemistry whether they are bickering or getting it on is off the charts. Tia Louise and Ilsa Madden-Mills are amazing authors on their own but together they are dynamite!

    I have read and loved books by Tia Louise and Ilsa Madden-Mills, so I was excited to hear that they wrote a book together, and even though it took me a while to finally read The Last Guy, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. This book was romantic, sweet, funny, and hot. I feel in love with Cade and Rebecca and their story.

    Rebecca's dream to become an anchor at the news station she works at is within reach, but after a few mishaps, things are quickly becoming not what she wants, and everywhere she turns Cade Hill, the sexy sports director seems to be. She wouldn't mind so much, if she wasn't so attracted, and annoyed by him. After an interesting bathroom incident, and a drunken night, she can't get rid of Cade, and I loved the journey these two went on.

    Cade when we first meet him comes off as arrogant, and full of himself, but as we get to know him, we see he's nothing like what you think he is like. He has his own story and is really a good guy. I fell hard for Cade and really wanted him to be happy and for him to get the girl. He truly is a good guy, and sure he makes some mistakes in this book, but he really does want what's best for Rebecca and I adored this about him.

    Rebecca on the other hand is kind of crazy. She wants Cade, but she's scared. The attraction is there, but she's afraid of truly letting him in, but once she does, it's beautiful between them. I couldn't stop laughing at everything mishap she would have though on camera though. Everything that could go wrong for her did, and I was really pulling for her to get that big win so skeevy Marv would have nothing to hold over her to not give her the job she deserved.

    These two have a long road ahead of them, but with the help of some great friends, and alcohol, they definitely make things work. This story was sweet and sexy, and definitely had me laughing out loud multiple times throughout the book. As a reader when you read books written by two authors, sometimes you can definitely tell that there are two authors writing the book, in The Last Guy it's written so well, that it's seamless and you can't tell that it's two authors words coming together. I loved this about the book! The only complaint I have about this book was I feel as if the ending was rushed, there was so much buildup and then BAM the book was over, which left me a little disappointed and wanting more. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy how the book ended, but it just seemed a bit too rushed for me, and I would have enjoyed more after seeing everything these two had gone through. I really enjoyed all of the characters in this book, and I hope that Ilsa and Tia decide to write more books together, as they did an amazing job!

    Having paid her dues as a reporter at local TV station KHOT, Rebecca Fieldstone, (Becks to her friends) is desperately hoping to step up into the weekend anchor position that has recently become available.

    Unlike the newly hired sports directer, former NFL superstar Cade Hill who seems to have just walked straight off the field and into the role, Becks feels like she deserves this opportunity, though recent events seem to be conspiring, all at the least opportune time, to cast her in a somewhat less than flattering light.

    Resentment over the ease at which he seems to have gotten his job doesn't seem to make him any less hot though, and much as her conscious mind would urge her not to go there with him, even if he were the last guy on earth, her baser instincts couldn't seem to care less.

    Pitting Becks' drive to prove herself worthy of her dream job against her failing resolve to stay away from Cole which could only complicate her position at work, this book brings all the laughs as things go wrong, all the smiles as things go right, and all the sizzle as things go bump in the night.

    With no pretensions of being anything other than the light fun romp that it is, with tensions and twists to keep the reader wondering exactly what might be coming next, I found it to be the perfect lazy afternoon read for when all you want is to get lost in the fiction, let your cares drift away and be left with a grin trying to steal it's way across your face as Becks and Cade try to steal your heart.

    Containing some of the funniest sequences I've ever read, particularly when Pixie makes an appearance, I genuinely laughed long and hard. Keep an eye out for that.

    What a gorgeous book! The cover and blurb on this book grabbed my attention and the fabulous writing, characters and story line kept me with my nose in this book until the early hours. Then, despite sleep deprivation I was straight into it again the next day. I couldn't put this one down.

    Rebecca is an awesome heroine. She made me laugh, cry, sigh and had me desperately rooting for her when all the cards seemed stacked against her. She is hilarious at times but that is tempered with her determination, honesty and dedication to her job. She is so likeable.

    Cade is a former NFL superstar turned sports anchor for the same TV Network that Rebecca works for. There is some seriously intense chemistry between these two and eventually the inevitable happens and they have one hot night together....but will one night be enough?? Hell no....

    Fantastic secondary characters, a fast paced plot and a swoonworthy love story gives this book the edge over many similar in this genre. It is sexy, sweet and funny - perfect for a lighter read but I still had tears in my eyes at times because I really felt for Becks.

    I really hope these two authors collaborate again because the pages in this book practically crackled and shimmered with a special kind of energy that kept me hooked to the very end.

    HEA? OMG! This is one of the loveliest epilogues ever. Cade and Rebecca are made for each other.
    Cheating? No. Cade has a slightly bonkers and very clingy ex who keeps trying to wangle her way back to him but that ship had long since sailed
