OMG! Remington has done it again. The story was exciting right from the first sentence. I never knew Tanner to ever get nervous but he did when he and Sara were in Paris. Tanner being a spy was a hugh stretch. Tanner goes by his own rules and really doesn't follow orders very well, especially from someone whom he hates. Being blackmailed doesn't help matters at all. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. As always, Tanner finishes his contract, even if it was under the veil of blackmail. At least Tanner got his revenge even though he kept his promise to do no harm to the people who blackmailed him. I am absolutely happy that Tanner and Sara are now engaged. This will be an interesting engagement. FANTASTIC job Remington! I would recommend this book.

While the descriptions and boundless talents of the main character seem ridiculous, they still make for a fast moving and fun to read story. Lots of guns and fights and fire but not overly descriptive.

Think “Dexter”! He is a Tanner. I don’t know much about what that means, because this is the first Tanner Novel I’ve read. I gather he is the most skilled assassin the world has ever seen and he is #7 in a line of previous Tanners. I had no trouble following the book and enjoying the story, even though this is Book # 21.

Tanner gets engaged to Sara, and her father is not too happy about that. After all, Tanner is a criminal. He doesn’t appear to be a sociopath and he does likes children; he is kind to the innocent. The people Tanner kills are other criminals, hateful, evil, detestable, and offensive.

In Book 21 the FBI and CIA blackmail him into doing a job for them. They’ll be sorrrrrrrry! This storyline has lots of twists and surprises, good suspense, and almost no one in the story is GOOD. Wicked entertainment?

A change of pace for Tanner. Getting blackmailed by the CIA is a mistake as they find out. Tanner remains Tanner throughout the book. Overcoming all obstacles, killing all the bad guys, being a good guy when necessary. Just what we have come to expect. A good read. Lots of action and body count. You know what you are getting when you start a Tanner book. I have not been disappointed yet. Recommended.

If you think Tanner has seen and done it all think again… Spying is the game spying is the name of the game boy does he have a challenge that he must meet and rise above. There are many twists and turns and you have to pay attention or you’ll miss something vital!

His proofreaders don't know the difference between was and were . plus there are other dramatically incorrect issues. Nevertheless they are easily overlooked as one gets involved in the storyline. Mainly enjoyable

I received a copy of this book as a ARC in exchange for my honest review.
In this latest episode of the Tanner saga , Tanner is blackmailed into taking a contract by the CIA. They set up Sara for attempted murder, having her arrested and jailed. To gain her freedom Tanner agrees to kill a suspected anarchist and recover a data drive containing the identities of all of the country's spys. In a storyline with more than enough twists and turns for any great spy novel, Tanner again shows why he is the world's best assassin.
As we have come to expect, the author has created another page turner you won't be able to put down.

It must be difficult to think up the storyline for one good book but to keep it running through a series of books like this takes an extremely good author. An absolutely brilliant read from book 1 to the end. The books do in fact get better as the series progress. You can see the character evolving and each book flowing into the next, or several along the way. You will not be disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars A fun read
Reviewed in Canada on October 13, 2018
This book is an easy fun read, but not very captivating. There is a subtle error in the plot and some paradoxical flaws in a few characters. It didn't take much research to get this book on the shelves but the author has a winning recipe. All in all its worth a read for someone looking for an immortal hero who does amazing things.
