    I've read the entire series so far and I really love these books. This one was just as good as the others with just a few editing issues. The major editing issue I had a problem with though was the plot hole in which Jenna's cousin had told her she could be a prostitute at 15. This was an issue because in the beginning of the book her cousin dies when Jenna is only 11. Other than that it was a great story. I highly recommend reading it but I would suggest reading it in order of the series. I would also suggest reading the first 3 books of the Haven series before this as it has some spoilers on what happens in them.

    While I like this writer and this series, I also like real ALPHA MALES. And this main character just didn't do it for me. Even though he wants Jenna for a long time, he continues to rationalize why she is better off without him. I can see taking a tiny bit of time on that issue....but more than half the book? Curt became a metro-sexual beta wuss because of that one issue to me. I started to root for other guys in the book instead of him. I am sure not the plan of the writer....but come on, punching a dude in the nose does not an ALPHA make.
    Now given all that, the story was interesting, and the leading lady was good.

    There are some grammatical and editorial errors that really irritated missing words, words used in wrong context and words seemingly left behind after editing - the usual poor editing the author seems to be happy with since they are a constant in ever book she has published.
    It's a shame because the characterisation is good with individual personalities that allow you to form a connection, probably the reason I keep reading her work.
    The plotline is engaging enough to keep you turning the pages even if it's a bit naive and the usual for the genre.
    It's an opportunity to escape from reality for a few hours.
    There are some sex scenes, BDSM themed and some swearing.
    If you are a fan of the genre, not heavy handed, then you would probably enjoy the series.
