Ruth Cardello was born the youngest of 11 children in a small city in northern Rhode Island. She spent her young adult years moving as far away as she could from her large extended family. She lived in Boston, Paris, Orlando, New York--then came full circle and moved back to New England. She now happily lives one town over from the one she was born in. For her, family trumped the warmer weather and international scene.

She was an educator for 20 years, the last 11 as a kindergarten teacher. When her school district began cutting jobs, Ruth turned a serious eye toward her second love- writing and has never been happier. When she's not writing, you can find her chasing her children around her small farm or connecting with her readers online.

    If you love Ruth Cardello's Barrington Billionaires... then you will be pleasantly pleased that her sister, Jeannette Winters and niece, Danielle Stewart each have a synchronized set that ties into this series. I have indeed read them all and I highly recommend you do too! That laundry can wait to be folded, a dish or two can sit in that sink.... crawl up, with a fur baby or two (if you are anything like me) and start them. I read Ruth's 1-3, then Jeannette's 1-3 and then Danielle's 1-3... NOW they each have BOOK FOUR releasing and I am squealing like a baby getting raspberries on her tummy. Yup, that good! ;) enjoy these gems and shoot me an email because I wouldn't mind some back and forth on what you loved and the secrets within these pages that I will spare you all from if you haven't started yet.     A complex set of issues, circumstances and lack of communication is the foundation for Book 3 of the Barrington Billionaires Series. I love Ms. Cardello’s writing in all of her series, but, so far I fell more in love with Lance and Willa than the other characters. I believe that Lance is a stand up guy and will always try and do the right thing and Willa is a caring person to everyone, what is there not to like.

    As the story unfolds, 10 years ago, when Willa was 18 and Lance 20, they were unable to keep their hands off of each other and Willa gave her virginity to Lance. But, circumstances and misunderstandings caused Willa to create a high wall around her and not let anyone ever hurt her again. Now 10 years later, Willa continues to “freeze out” Lance who is the brother of her very best friend, Kenzi Barrington (Book 2). Lance is still confused as to why she will not let him apologize for all those years ago when he “ran” from her after their encounter. He is confused on why she is still angry, but when they are thrown together again, thanks to Willa’s identical twin sister, Lexi, it is clear that even though 10 years have passed, they still have a chemistry that is off the chart.

    Lance is convinced that 10 years is long enough for them to keep dancing around each other and he will get to the bottom of the mystery of the past. Willa is determined not to bring out the truth because she believes that she will never stop hurting if Lance finds out that their one encounter did leave a consequence that she has still not gotten over and doesn’t want the painful truth to come out.

Over hurtles and stubborn pride these two danced until it all came together. Hit by the truth of how much he loved Willa - Lance did remarkable things to prove it to her.     Lance and Willa's story starts at a great pace and continues throughout that it just makes you want to not sleep but keep reading. The two main characters are both interesting and compassionate people and their back story makes you understand the way they interact with each other now. The interaction with Lance's family brings in characters from previous books and with the books from Danielle Stewart and Jeanette Winters which makes you want to go back and read them all over again. Truly enjoyable and great read.

    This story continued to draw me in. Willa and Lance have had a complicated relationship, marred by a past that was not fully understood. It was great to see them attempting to move forward, although there were some significant issues to overcome. Sensitive aspects were tackled well.
    The twin aspect and the search for identity was very interesting and added a further dimension to the complexity of family. Lance's talk with his mum revealed more about her, especially as she came into her own after revelations in the previous book. The way The family came together was encouraging.
    It was great to see more of Dax's protective side when he was concerned for Willa.
    I'm looking forward to the next book.
