    L.L. Collins, if you were at my house I would be strangling you. TWISTED is how I feel. I have just spent a few hours being put through an emotional wringer!!! I feel as if I ran a marathon. My first feeling was anticipation. I have waited on this book for a while. I knew that I would not like how this book ended. I just never realized how MUCH I hated the last part of the book. I wanted to throw my Kindle and demand a rewrite. I hate having my heart torn out of my chest and that is just what happened. My next feeling was happiness at finally getting to read the book. However that feeling didn't last long. I became unhappy quickly. The setting for the book was the late 1990's. Back when cell phones and emailing wasn't easy to get. Oh how I wish there had been those things then this crap wouldn't have happened. I was totally back in my teen years as I read the first part of the book. I had that happy feeling of flirting, hoping, yearning, and loving. I devoured each word that Blake spoke. I knew deep down that he was going to be shattered. Liane and Blake have been friends since they were 5. Their families spend 2 weeks each summer together. The summer they are 18 is finally the summer that they declare their love. What a love it was! Liane has just broken up with her long time boyfriend, Ronan (@$$wipe). Let's just say I'm glad my boys aren't like that sleez!!! The love story goes downhill once they leave the beach. This is the part where my insides became TWISTED. I'm glad I was alone when I read this or my family may have had me committed. I was SOOOOOOO mad at the turn of events. Yet, I couldn't put this book down. L. L. Collins has a way to draw you into a story and just won't let you go until you finish. All I can say is thank the Good Lord above that there is a book 2. I have a major book hangover. I'm still shaking my head at the turn of events. I'm still mad, but I still love L.L. Collins' books. They are not to be missed. Dual point of view. Yes, there is a MAJOR CLIFFHANGER. Read this book because you won't be disappointed!!!!

    L.L. Collins has done it again! Twisted Souls was an emotional read that left me wanting more!

    Where to start with this one? I loved how we got the back story of Liane and Blake, and then how everything changed for them when they were 14. I absolutely loved Blake's character, even when he was stupid, and was rooting for him throughout this entire book.

    Liane on the other hand, I loved and hated her at times. She obviously had feelings for Blake was too scared to do anything about them, and then ended up with Ronan. To say that I'm not a fan of Ronan is an understatement. I despise him!

    Ronan is Liane's high school sweetheart, and he breaks up with her in the most horrible way. My heart broke for Liane during the break up scene. That was just a taste of how Ronan was... he gets worse!

    When Liane and Blake see each other for the first time I knew their story was going to be amazing, even though they still talked and wrote letters, they hadn't seen one another for 4 years. Both of them had changed so much in this time, but their feelings for one another were still there, even if they didn't want to admit it at first.

    When the two finally come clean about their feelings I was so freaking happy! Those two weeks these two were together was beautiful and amazing and made me fall in love with them all over again. I cried when they said goodbye, and my heart soared at the promises they made to one another.

    When Liane get's back Ronan is wanting her back, and he isn't like the answer no. Ronan is a conniving jerk and what he does to Liane without her knowing and Blake is beyond crazy. I was hoping that Liane would figure it out and see him for who he really was, but you'll just have to read this book to see what happens.

    L.L. Collins has a way of writing an emotionally packed novel that will have you laughing, and sobbing ugly tears. Twisted Souls is an amazing start to a new series, and I can't wait till the conclusion of Blake, Liane's, and Ronan's story in Twisted Paths. I hope upon hope that Liane ends up with Blake. These two are meant for one another, and I think they have dealt with enough pain and sorrow in and deserve their HEA together, even if Liane may think she already has her HEA!

    This is probably my third attempt at writing this review. I really enjoyed Twisted Souls but boy did some of the character's actions aggravate me to the end - in a good way. My feelings are all over the place. The story has a bit of anticipation throughout. I rarely have the urge to skip to the end of a story, but I did with Twisted Souls. At times I just felt like I had to know what was going to happen or how it would end.

    Blake and Lianne have been best friends since the age of 5. I enjoyed getting to know the two as children and best friends. Their families spend each summer together on vacation at the beach. As the years progress, Blake and Lianne become older and those friendship feelings develop into something deeper. The story takes places in the late 1990's, before social media and definitely before cells phones were common for teenagers. So Blake and Lianne write letters to each other as a way of keeping in touch. I found the build up of Blake and Lianne's friendship and bond just perfect.

    This story is about young love. The sweet uninhibited type of love and gives you butterflies. As I was reading I got all those sweet feels. I'm feeling good and ready for the story to progress. But then the story takes a left turn. I'm left thinking, wait what just happened?

    Such as life, love is unpredictable, especially young love. So yes there's love but also heartbreak. I'm freaking heart broken and all twisted up. The story is a complex tale of love, heartbreak, friendship, choices and what if's. I will be patiently waiting for the next installment in this series because I need more!

    Oh my goodness, I’m all twisted up! Author L.L Collins what have you done to me? I’m so angry, I’m so heartbroken and I’m so scared for book 2!

    I don’t want to re-hash the story as you need to go in blind and experience Liane’s journey yourself. I will say that it is told in the points of view of three people which gives us a great, well rounded insight into their lives and it works so well.

    “Li,” his breath in my ear makes me jump. “Don’t overthink. You aren’t going to hurt me. We’ll figure out whatever we need to do together. Okay? All that matters is that we both want this, right?”

    This story is so complex with some twists to make you gasp and your heart race. There is a thick sexual tension between the two main characters and it felt real and raw. The emotions poured out of the pages and really got to me. There were moments in this book where I had to put it down for a while as I became overcome with the angst, but then immediately had to pick it back up again as I NEEDED to read on! I swear that I must have tried to stop and take a break about 10 times!

    “Mom, how in the world can you be proud of me?”
    “A mother’s love isn’t conditional, Lia. You’re taking a situation that’s very difficult to say the least and turning it into something positive. I believe in you.”

    This story is packed with love, lust, secrets, lies, choices and hope and it certainly takes you on a rollercoaster ride. I absolutely can’t wait for book 2, Twisted Paths, it can’t come soon enough!

    im Teenageralter entwickeln die beiden Gefühle füreinander - nach einigen Jahren gestehen sie sich diese auch endlich ein und planen ihre Zukunft gemeinsam - wäre da nicht Liane's Ex, der sie unbedingt zurückerobern möchte...

    Da ich den Plot des Buches nicht vorwegnehmen möchte, gehe ich nicht auf die weitere Handlung ein... man sollte sich jedoch bewusst sein, dass das Buch mit einem Cliffhänger endet und in die Geschichte der beiden in Twisted Path fortgesetzt und abgeschlossen wird...

    Ich bin ein großer Fan der Bücher von L.L. Collins und kann auch dieses Buch nur wärmstens empfehlen!
