About the Author

Don Massenzio was born in Syracuse, New York, to first generation Italian American parents. He is an avid reader. Some of his favorite authors include Harlan Coben, David Morrell, Stephen King, and Hugh Howey. His favorite book of all time is To Kill a Mockingbird. Don began writing as a way to combat the long hours of travel and numerous hotel stays that are part of the 'glamorous' world of corporate travel. He uses writing as a therapeutic outlet. He recently took the jump to sharing his work with others. His first published long work was the novel, Frankly Speaking, published in April,2014 . It was the first in what will hopefully be a series of books focused on the character, Frank Rozzani, a Florida private detective. The book is a throwback to the days of pulp detective novels with a tip of the hat to Jim Rockford from 70's television and The Rockford Files. Don's second book, Let Me Be Frank, another Frank Rozzani detective novel, was published in October of 2014. The third book is available for pre-order and will be released April 24, 2015. He has also released a collection of short stories called Random Tales that is available for your Kindle or as an eBook on Amazon. Prior to finishing his first book, his published work was comprised of short stories. He now resides in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife, children, and two dogs

Like his character, Frank Rozzani, Don was born in Syracuse, New York to first generation Italian American parents. He’s an avid reader. Some of my favorite authors are Harlan Coben, David Morrell, Stephen King, Jonathan Kellerman, John Grisham, and Hugh Howey. His favorite book of all time is To Kill a Mockingbird.

He started writing as a way to combat the long hours of travel and numerous hotel stays that are part of the ‘glamorous’ world of corporate life. He use writing as a therapeutic outlet to combat his homesickness.

His first published book, Frankly Speaking, rose to the top of the Amazon charts. It was the first in a series of books focused on the character, Frank Rozzani, a Florida private detective. The series is a throwback to the days of pulp detective novels with a tip of the hat to Jim Rockford from the 70’s television show, The Rockford Files. He's also released a collection of short stories called Random Tales that is available for your Kindle or in paperback.

Also, look for his non-fiction book, The Ultimate Guide For Independently Published Authors: Tips for improving quality and selling your work, now available on Amazon.com as an eBook or in paperback

He moved to Jacksonville, Florida 22 years ago where he currently lives with his wife, daughter, and three dogs.

Just beginning my first fiction book. Taking classes locally in memoir and writing a book. A lot of great points. Thanks so much.

An exceptional guide for indie authors that will be used again and again as a valuable resource. I received a free copy of this informative book. Don Massenzio tells it like it is and explains in detail what he has found to be successful and helpful for him in publishing, marketing and writing.

After reading about his helpful insights to being a successful indie author I will definitely use some of his tested strategies. As an indie author I believe we need to stick together and help one another. This is exactly what the author has done here. He unselfishly shares his secrets with other authors to assist them on their writing and publishing journey. Thank you, Don, for this excellent compilation for authors.
