Leah Janeczko (translator): Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Leah D. Janeczko has lived in Milan for half her life plus a few months. Over all I think it was a good read. I did however feel like I didn't see enough character development to help me feel the characters in the book. At times I felt like we were jumping around with no emotions so I had to force myself to keep reading. It's hard for me to stop reading a trilogy - it's like not making your bed in every morning. I did like the series so far and I'm working on the last book. It's not the best paranormal romance I've read but I've enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone.

    I adore both books since I’m such a big fan of Evan and Gemma’s beautiful love story. One thing I love that started in the first book but that you see more and more in the second is the way Evan is able to be in Gemma’s dreams with her, reading her every emotion. It’s very clear how intense his own feelings are for her. Towards the end of the book, there’s a section narrated from Evan’s point of view. It’s fantastic! To be able to read his thoughts, his torments, his deepest feelings for Gemma . . . It’s amazing. It shows you how completely sincere he’s always been with her. He’s never hidden a single thing from her. In contrast, Gemma, in this book, begins to have little secrets from him, secrets that have serious consequences. One in particular, if Evan finds out, could jeopardize his relationship with his siblings, Drake in particular.

    This book is interesting from the first one. The love and relationship between Gemma and Evan seem to dragged a bit. There wasn't any action going on till a few parts but there was a lot of fantasy and mythical mix in when Evan took Gemma to Eden. Also it seem like there wasn't any of Gemma high school friends in the book (just a little bit). On a side note, I loved the relationship with Ginerva and Simon. Overall, it's a interesting read till the end when the author gets you hooked about The Hunt is on for Gemma to die while the others protect her no matter what the cost is. What will you do till you accidently kill some one that you loved?

Could it be any worse? I am so in love with the characters in these two books. These books are the first I've read from Alisa and I definitely will buy all she writes. I have such high hopes for "Gevan" and can't wait to read how a "happy ending" will be created. With such love between these two....I will NOT accept anything else!!!     The book started was a bit slow for me as it mainly dealt mainly with the deepening of Gemma's and Evan's relationship. It is an epic love story and I am a romantic at heart but sometimes the endless descriptions of the scenery and their feelings for each other dragged me out of the story. Nothing much happened for the first part of the story as they were safe and no further attempts had been made to kill Gemma. The story reminded me a little of the "Premonition" series with the star crossed lovers and their constant struggles to stay together despite Fate having other ideas. Once she is being hunted again things heat up and their are a few heart stopping moments when you are not sure if Gemma will survive the latest attempts on her life. The story hints at how special Gemma is because she sees and feels certain things but nothing is revealed that confirms why. The ending is shocking as I did not see it coming but I hope there is redemption in the next book and we finally get some answers.

    Its more from gem and Evan and their all consuming true love story.
    The danger isn't over though and you are witnessing the story unfold.
    I kinda guessed what gemma is from the first book and there are plenty of hints throughout this book. I also saw what was coming but the way its told is so moving and described, I got a lump in my throat and got annoyed.
    It ends when it shouldn't and I really hope the author is writing book 3 so I see what she has in store for gemma, Evan and the Scooby gang.
    Good dialogue and characters and the storyline was superbly written.
    Highly recommend.
