Unwritten Law (Steele Brothers Book 1) Kindle Edition
No one can tell us apart, not even our parents sometimes. We don’t usually use that to our advantage, but it comes in handy when my brother needs help breaking up with his boyfriends—which happens more than I’d care to admit. I know it’s enabling him, but I can’t say no to Anders. I will do anything for my twin. The breakups always go the same; they’re swift and simple.
Until Reed.
He’s everything I've fantasised about but never allowed myself to have. When I give in to temptation and begin to freak out, it’s not because he’s a guy. It’s because he thinks I’m my brother, and I can’t bring myself to tell him the truth.
**Unwritten Law is a 52,000 word stand alone with a HFN/HEA guarantee and no cliffhanger. It contains a mistaken identity trope. Please check trigger warnings in the front matter.**

- Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2022Twin powers activate! Law and Anders are totally codependent on each other but it’s a brotherly love born from naturally being close as brothers and a horrible incident that happened in the past to Anders but in reality, affected them both deeply. Lawson has always been the one to take care of Anders, it’s just his love language. Anything he can do to prevent Anders from sliding backwards after seemingly making progress after the attack. When Lawson meets Reed as Anders, he’s shocked that he finally wants more, wants to take a chance with Reed and is willing to lie and then he just can’t tell the truth after he meets him as Law. Reed is a sweet guy and the banter between both him and Law is great, there’s some between them but Reed thinks Lawson is straight and he’s fooling around with his brother. Great story with very likable MC’s and side characters.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2022That's what Law was after meeting another man his brother wanted him to get rid of with an excuse. But,one look at the man brought all the feeling he's been suppressing all his life. Spending all his life only dating women, not only a new experience but a first time one. Reed not looking for forever got more than a blind date but, a night he'd never be able to forget. Only one problem Reed thought this man was his brother and deciding it was just a hookup Law let him believe that. But,fate had other plans because who's class he walks into but the person he thought he'd never see again Law who at first he thought was Anders,Law's brother. A friendship started with one brother so he thought while having sex with the other. The friendship between them grew into so much more for both men,Reed ended it with one brother because of feelings for the other not realizing they were the same man. But, a chance meeting of all three brought everything to a head and after soul searching on both parts they became a wonderful and happy couple. Good Read!!!😍
- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 20193 stars!! 😐So I almost quit it a few times and the only reason I didn't give this 2 stars is because it somewhat redeemed itself in the last few chapters. 😟
To start with, I went into this book expecting the spark and humor from Fake Out & Trick Play; but to my disappointment despite the premise being as absurd as Eden F's other books, it didn't feel like a comedy of errors.. but more like a dramedy with 3 characters. Law and Reed (the MCs) and Anders (Law's twin). The story was of identical twins, where Law frequently pretends to be Anders to help him deal with confrontations; but it so happens that one of those pretenses goes longer and naive Reed gets emotionally and physically involved with both brothers; although in reality he with only one brother (Law). Confused yet? 🙄 But Law can't come clean to Reed so he keeps pretending to be Law by day and Anders by night.... (why? why? why? 😬😳) He had every opportunity to come clean and salvage the growing attraction but he keeps putting it off.. 🤨🤬. Finally the truth comes out with some side drama and there is lots of guilt and shame and all that jazz. Nevertheless they do reconcile eventually in a sweet way which compensates for the disappointing plot. The HEA and sizzling steam save the book from being a complete wash-out.
I've been an Eden F fan so far.. but after this one, I'm not sure I will read Steel Brothers #2. 😞
- Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2019When Lawson gets a panicked call from his twin Anderson begging him to dump his blind date easily for him, Law never expects to be attracted to the guy! Reed meets Anders, who he immediately brings back to his place with some off the charts chemistry. They agree that this hookup is a casual one time thing, but Law wants more. But since he isn't "out" he continues to pretend to be his brother so he can keep seeing Reed. When Reed then meets Law through work, and the two of them start a friendship, he finds himself wishing it was Law in his bed instead of Anders.
What started out as a one time thing to help his brother snow balls into a big mess that you can't help but want to see through to the end. These boys were so sweet. Lying isn't cool, but you try to justify it for Law's sake. I can't wait to read Anderson's story.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2021Written in dual first person POV. Good amount of M/M sexy times given the storyline and Law’s level of experience. The premise is interesting (Law fills in for Anders for breakups/confrontations and for Anders’ first blind date with Reed) and handles a twin switch/mistaken identity trope without it being really gross. Yes, the situation snowballs, but that’s what makes it fun for the reader.
My biggest issue was with repetition. The author didn’t need to constantly remind us why Law continues with the lie. I also expected a little more humor based on reading her Fake Boyfriend series, but this book still had its moments of hilarity.
Trigger warning - while any abuse in the book takes place “off screen”, there are still lots of things that could be triggers for those dealing with PTSD from their own abuse or the aftermath from a loved one.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2023I loved this book almost more than her last series. It had such an interesting concept where you could truly see both sides. I loved everything about this book and highly suggest reading it especially if you’ve never read an Eden Finley book before. I switched up and read a few other authors but something was missing from those that Finley never misses.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intenso
Una storia che inizia come una commedia degli equivpci e che tratta invece con profondità il tema dell'abuso e delle difficoltà che le vittime devono affrontare per riprendersi la loro vita. Avvincente.

5.0 out of 5 stars Twins...
Laws charade frustrated the hell out of me... He is making it quite hard for himself. But all in all he is a really good guy. If there only wasn't his "obligation" to his ptsa-twinbrother and... Well, read for yourself, get frustrated by that guy and fall for him on that way.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's was something else.
The plot of the story was good. Sometimes I was asking myself who does that... Ah, I did not read anything similar to that.
I really love the characters they were all good even if Lawson got me annoyed at some point with all the missing telling the truth. I can't wait to read more about Broody and Anders.
In all the story was good I couldn't stop reading it to know how things would go.
Read it if you didn't already.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique, heartfelt and beautifully written
Firstly, let me say I loved that this was set in Australia! I enjoyed reading about towns and places that I know and have visited, which makes for a very different experience to other contemporary romances I've read which are set in places I'm yet to visit.
Secondly, I love that the whole concept of this story was unique - I have never come across anything like this, despite twins being common in a lot of romances.
Per usual with this author the writing was beautiful and heartfelt, with that little bit of grit thrown in to keep it interesting. Lawson and Reed are amazing MCs who have a true connection, and the alternating POV really help you get to know them. Anders and Brodie are fun supporting characters and I can't wait to see more of them in the next book (which I'm assuming is Anders' given there are only 2 Steele brothers...).
I loved that there was a HEA, and really the only thing missing between the end and the epilogue was Law telling his parents - I would have loved that scene included!
Definitely a book I would recommend, and one I know I will read again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Didn't want to put it down
This drew me in from the first page, I have the following book all ready to go. There are a few trigger warnings dealing with anxiety, ptsd, bigotry and violence but it's so well written.
