Vambrace: Keaton Clarke's Tale (Tales of Gentalia Book 1) [Print Replica] Kindle Edition
A retro boss looming.
A cocky player annoyed.
Industry Giant Tornado Tech has finally released a new version of their breakout arcade game hit Vambrace and Keaton Clarke is primed and ready to play it hard all night long. Every nook must be delved into as deep as possible and Keaton Clarke is just the gaming master to do it.
But not all games are created equal and Vambrace hides a terrible sensual secret within its coding. The game pulls off the gauntlet to challenge Keaton, the self described master of all things Vambrace, directly and he needs to be ready for an entire new kind of challenge, whether he wants to take it on or not.
As the digital labyrinth falls into pixelated panic an important question remains unanswered. What kind of retro game experience would secretly plot against its own players? More importantly to Keaton is his own personal question, “What do you mean this story isn’t all about me?”
Warning: Contains m/m situations and pixelated monster banging.
While part of a series, this novelette can be read as a stand alone story!

About the author

CB Archer is a novelist who lives happily in the sunny Okanagan Valley, nestled in Canada (America’s Hat).
He maintains a regular secretive existence in the real world, and at night writes filthy filthy things that would make even the most experienced librarian change to Blush Shade #6 (The highest of the shades).
CB Archer is responsible for the Annals of Gentalia brand, and the C.ollege of U.nited M.onsters brand, and would like to apologize for nothing!

- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2016Absolutely hilarious! I can't say much for fear of giving away spoilers, but in this shortish novella we meet game-obsessed Keaton Clarke, who finds himself literally sucked into the latest version of his favorite game, where he has a VERY close encounter with...well, you'll just have to read the book to find out :) I'm not a gamer and I don't normally read m/m erotica, but even so I couldn't stop laughing! Warning: if you don't want to read explicit descriptions of male game avatars getting it on with each other, then this is not the book for you, but if you don't mind (or actively want to read about) exploring the sexual possibilities that entirely pixelated bodies provide, you'll find lots of grin-inducing hijinks here.
The layout is done partially as game text boxes, which was too much for my elderly Kindle to handle. I recommend reading it on the Kindle app instead, where it worked great.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2017My oh my! This is my first read by CB, but I knew what to expect. Naughty pixelated pleasure enhanced by super secret cheat codes! All right.
As a gamer, I had to laugh at the die-hard fan that is Keaton. I mean, I won't lie, I've been in line for a midnight game purchase a time or two, but Keaton's dedication is over-the-top. Which describes everything else about this little romp.
If you're looking for a serious read, keep looking. But if you're in the mood for naughty hilariousness you're in the right place.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2016Once again, CB Archer has managed to combine humor, video games, and some incredibly niche sexytimes into a book that I heartily enjoyed, yet still left me scratching my head as to what, exactly it was I just read. Seriously, from beginning with a three page description of an awful stench to ending up channeling the author's inner Dr. Seuss, there isn't a whole lot of ground that *isn't* covered despite this being a short story. Obviously, this is still an erotic tale, so I can't simply recommend it to all readers, but to those inclined, come for the sexy, stay for the laughs.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2016I read this after reading Breakers of the Code, so I think I was spoiled a little. This one is still very funny, with an interesting, unlikable main character. It doesn't have the depth (ha) of Breakers, and is much shorter, but is still a satisfying read.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2016I was not anticipating to enjoy this as much as I did. CB Archer has a gift for this genre and creating his virtual worlds. It is a very compelling read. If you pick it up, be read to laugh. Vambrace will have you rolling! It hits you with one laugh after another. Anyone that loves gaming and wants a taste of a unique erotic thriller should check out this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2017Honestly, it was really, really funny. So many hilarious throw away lines, glitter jizz that can deliver special powers, pixellated bumholes. I was howling!
Note for those with old fashioned ereaders, you will need a tablet or phone to read this on as the dialogue is in text box format (which was a really unique, and authentic way of telling the story).
