    I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review and purchased the published edition.

    Rokar has been living a half-life for years since losing his family, he has helped out where he could as this prophecy has unraveled, however for the most part he has been distant and moody, spending most of his time alone. Now it’s his time to step up and take a mate. Can he put his past behind him and find love again?

    We haven’t heard much from Tess as she has long been distant from her family as well, chasing bad boys and riding her bike off into the sunset. Anything to get away from her past.

    How can two people who can’t even spend time with their families possibly mate and do their part to fulfill the prophecy? You’ll have to read the book to find out.

    This was a very fast paced story, with twists and turns I didn’t see coming. I am really enjoying this series and how all the characters have grown and changed in the process. I can’t wait to see how it ends.

    Vikings Conquest is book 5 in the viking ancestor series. This is Rokar and Tess's book and boy was it a doozy! Sky puts us on an emotional rollercoaster in these books it's just amazing.
    Rokar has been living half a life since the kids of his wife Helga and his son Bjar. He has been living as a loner preferring to separate himself from his family. The pain of losing his family is unbearable.
    Tess has been living in her own hell in the 21st century, suffering through pain and loss she has kept from her sisters. Constantly on the move helps her not think about the worst day of her life.
    Rokar and Tess need to work together to complete their journey and save their families. Both are strong, stubborn, independent dragons. Can they trust each other and face their losses and move on?

    I loved this book. It is the fifth book in the series of six. The author's writing is terrific. Sky is one of those writers I find myself putting another book down when one of her new books is released.

    I usually don't write a review based on the storyline of the book because the author's description give you that.

    All I can say is this book is a totally another great read. Come and see how Rokar and Tess conquer the enemy with help of family and friends. Also to get the happiness they both richly deserve.

    Most of you that have visited my various review or even just postings would find it not surprise that of course I loved Viking's Conquest. But that would be for several reasons: 1) dragons; 2) shifter dragons; 3) time traveling alpha shifter males; 4) strong willed, independent female counterpart; 5) well rounded, detailed characters; 6) history woven with fiction; and 7) Sky Purington. I love getting lost in more of her well written Viking shifter, time-traveling, alpha males with lots to offer an independent woman. This time it was not his first go at his heroine.
