Before Christine Kane founded what became a multi-million dollar coaching company, she spent fifteen years in the music industry, producing seven CD’s and a DVD on her own label, while touring the globe over 200 days a year.     This book helped me understand the essence of what a vision board is and what it does for you in regards to self reflection, clarity and intention. In fact, the intro explaning these concepts were more informative than the how to's. The writer is a creative and writes like one: open, quirky and to the point. It makes vision boarding fun and easy. No complications. Quick read (a little over an hour). She even offers how to lead a workshop in vision boarding. I only give it 4 stars because if you are looking for a directive approach, someone telling you what you should do, this is not for you. If you are looking for a facilitative approach offering variety and a guide of how you can personalize this process (like listening to a wise friend), then you will enjoy this. It's liberating. I am inspired to make my own vision board.

    I probably downloaded this book a year or so ago idk but it's been sitting in my kindle forever and something today told me to open it then I downloaded the audible I got through it during my downtime at work in one day I'm not patting myself on the back for how quick it was to get through my point is Christine is strait to the point no long drawn out stories but thought provoking to make you want to continue to listen or read because her methods through her message feels effective and something I can and will take action on. I read the book The Secret when it first came out and always wanted to create a vision board b/c I believed it could be an effective tool for me to manifest what I wanted but when I would start to create one I let my own ego take over and questioned what I should put on it how I would make something come to fruition I just over-complicated the whole thing and have never got around to doing it. I'm a digital person so Pinterest is always a go-to for me....but I feel like using Google or Pinterest could be limiting you are typing in what you 'think' you want to be do or have instead of letting the feelings evoke out of opening some select and random magazines I really like this approach and can't wait to see where it takes me on this journey. I highly recommend this book if you are stuck, looking for some creative inspiration and/or some advice that resonates with alternatives to KISS (keep it simple stupid) and take action towards making things happen. Thank you for writing this book, I don't know how you could make a part II but if you do something similar in the same style or around leadership, success, creating your life, manifesting ect I would read it!

    I chose to read this book because it was recommended by an author I like, but this book was underwhelming.

    The Good:

    It walks you through the process of making a vision board and talks about the different types of vision boards. There's a Q&A chapter of the most commonly asked questions. Another thing I appreciated was the chapter with examples of other people's vision boards. Finally, the tone of the book was positive, which is always good.

    The Bad:

    This book is too short, and doesn't go into too much details. I already knew how to make a vision board and this book really didn't teach me anything new. The language in this book is also very simple. It read more like a long blog post than a book.

    She uses short paragraphs all the time.

    While this definitely works online and can highlight certain sentences you want people to really pay attention to, it looks bad when done excessively. There are even paragraphs (plural, and way too many) with only one sentence! Again, this works online but definitely NOT in a book. I just think she did it on purpose, as to have more pages. I understand Kindle Unlimited books are paid per number of pages read.

    In Conclusion:

    I don't regret reading this book, but I only recommend reading it if you have absolutely no clue as to what vision boards are.
