About the author

Rebecca Forster will try anything once, but when she was dared to write a book she found her passion. Now a USA Today and Amazon best selling author with over 40 books to her name, Rebecca is known for her keen ear for dialogue, three dimensional characters, an eye for detail, twisted plots and unexpected endings. From court watching to weapons training, landing by tail hook on an aircraft carrier to police ride-alongs, Rebecca is dedicated to hands-on research and her stories are inspired by real life crime. "There is a poignancy to crime stories," Rebecca says when asked why she writes thrillers. "Those who investigate or prosecute crimes are personally challenged to be heroic and the victims are forever changed. There is no greater drama." Married to a superior court judge, she is the mother of two grown sons. Contact her here:

- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2023As per usual Rebecca's ability to wind and trig into her stories and developer characters in a very realistic way was once again present.I just thoroughly enjoyed her period. Definitely recommend VOWS.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2012It took me a little time to get captured into the book. I liked ibut the ending was not satisfying for me.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2013I say it over and over, I love the way Rebecca Forster writes. So few authors put me in the actual midst of being with the characters. This is one of the best books and I highly recommend it. This is an older publication and it somehow slipped by me but it was well worth the discovery. I wait patiently for new works from this author all the time.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2010Vows - the definition is a pledge to oneself or another to do something or to behave in a certain manner. I always considered vows to between man and a woman when they got married; this book expanded the definition to for me. Yet, it opens up the question, do we keep the vows to what we think is to our own expense? This book is full of hatred, love, forgiveness, resentment, everything a great book needs. I loved some of the characters all the time, some of the time I was disappointment in them, and others never liked at all. This was a great book, full of emotion from so many different directions.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2010This is one of Rebecca Forster's best books and that's saying a lot. As enticing as her legal thrillers are, this story of an overly ambitious marketing executive, who seemingly will stop at nothing to get what she wants, kept me reading late into the night. Just when you think Dani Cortland is through rationalizing her betrayal of the people close to her to get what she wants, she surprises you again. Wonderfully developed but not always predictable characters populate this book and bring it to life. You're never quite sure if the main character is going to redeem herself and are surprised when other characters slip into some of the same failings. A great read!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2013I really like this author and her writing, gripping story line. Will buy this author again and again untill I have read all her books.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2013Crap couldn't get into it. Not worth reading. Not one of her best books. Try another of her books. Maybe.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well written
A variable storyline which eventually, blended together. Interesting and exciting. Author had a well planned plot and filtered it together to bring out an unusual ending.
